Customers say: Quality work

"Baldo Ambrocio has been working for us for several years and we have never been disappointed. He is a hard worker, does quality work and shows up on time. He recently replaced part of our wrap-around deck, taking out rotted wood and reinforcing it, then putting on new wood, staining and painting. He also replaced rotted railings and repainted them. We are very pleased with the results and have just hired him again to power-wash the house."

"We had a great experience with KBG Construction. We need the ceiling in our kitchen and dining room painted, and from beginning to end, they were great to work with. They had fast communication, gave us a reasonable quote and were able to fit us in their schedule within a week of our first outreach. The job was done quickly and in high-quality and they were even generous enough to touch up our front door with the extra paint, without being asked. We would definitely use them again for any painting needs. "

"We had two objectives, first was to enlarge our one bathroom to have a walk in shower and second was to bring our laundry up from the basement. In doing the latter, utilize new space for a half bath. They worked within our design (we had specific pieces already) and it came out just as we pictured. We finished on budget and on schedule (as much as this crazy winter allowed)."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in East-berlin, CT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
