"Ryan came out to look at my driveway project on a Saturday. He described exactly how the project would be done and gave us a great price. We hired him and by Monday he arrived with his crew to remove the old driveway and install new asphalt. He paid great attention detail and made sure that the finished project was perfect. Highly recommended!"

"I had another person start the job (new driveway) who has dishonest, constantly asking for money and would show up days late. As a result, the job he said woul take 4 days was less than half done after over a month. So I fired him and I went to Angi's and within a day I received 3 quotes. I went with Custom Paving and they started the very next day and were done in 3 days. Justin, the owner, was there every day and was very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Custom Paving. They saved me!"

"Everyone showed up on time. There was a team of 7 skilled workers who knew their jobs well. They kept me in the loop getting my approval for the layout step. They were all proficient, efficient, friendly and answered my questions. It looks great. I'm very pleased. The equipment was new and in excellent condition. They regraded the driveway as requested and no water goes into the garage any more. The price was very reasonable for the work they did. It only took them about 4-5 hours."

"Awful. This job was half-assed, I just got home to this crap. I was not called in advance as your quote person had informed me. I was very clear that I need t know when it would be done to survise. He said I would be called ahead of time to let me know when there is a job near me and they would come afterward. I paid almost 8,000 dollars to have that patch broken into to install a sewage cleanout!!!!! THESE PEOPLE CAME TO MY HOUSE WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME AND COVERED THE SEWAGE CLEAN OUT WITH ALPHALT!!!!!!!!!!!! Then they came back and the pictures is the final work, beautiful ****."

"Bill and his team were great. Not only did the paving look perfect, but he did it for a lot less than others had quoted. In addition, Bill had his team go above and beyond and cut out and save some concrete sections of my old parking area that had me and my kids and wife’s name on it. I would definitely use them again for any paving project. "

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in East Freetown, MA

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
