"I usually don't use the cliche "we couldn't be happier," but we really couldn't be happier with our new paver driveway installed by Falkon. We solicited three bids from companies found on Angie's list. One estimate was really high. A second estimate seemed too good (low) to be true. Based on the Angie's List ratings, I expected Falkon to be about halfway between the two, but the Falkon was almost the same as the "too good to be true" estimate. After researching more and viewing the Falkon website which included past project photos, we selected Falkon for the project. Honestly, at first, I thought Val kind of rushed through the estimate/walkthrough, especially when compared to the experience I had with the other two contractors we spoke with. I'm not saying this to complain. I'm bringing this up to suggest that if you have a similar experience/feeling, don't let that scare you away. Val was always responsive to our needs throughout the decision-making process and the actual project. He never blew us off or made us feel like we were bothering him. Besides, what really counted was the execution of the project and the results. Both were outstanding. Val's crew appeared very experienced. They were punctual and professional. The progress they made each day was phenomenal. We have a pretty large driveway - approximately 1200 square feet with some curving on the borders. Day 1 - Demolished and removed/hauled away old asphalt driveway. Graded soil. Day 2 - Placed underlayments and compacted/graded again Day 3 - Placed all pavers - except for border. Day 4 - Placed bordering pavers and cut inner pavers meeting the border. We requested angled pattern requiring more (and angled) cuts. (By the way, we love the angled paver pattern. Worth the extra effort and cost.) Day. 5 - Filled in gaps between pavers. (about half day). Day 6 - Originally planned, but not needed because everything was completed on Day 5. We highly recommend Falkon Construction for any paver project you are considering."

"Overall job was performed satisfactorily although I thought communication could have been better. The asphalt portion of the job was scheduled to be completed in one day, however, by mid-afternoon the workers had left and the job was not finished. I had to be proactive and contact the company to find out if installation was still going to take place that day or if it would move to the next day. I was told it would move to the next day which was ok. I asked if they could place a couple of orange safety cones next to the demolition area overnight since it was in an area where there was frequent foot traffic; this was agreed. When I returned to the job site late that night no cones were present. <br /> The overall quality of the asphalt work was satisfactory, the concrete work was excellent. <br /> I know this was a small job and think perhaps communication might be better with larger jobs / clients."

Not easy and not small project but Golden Line is reliable company and they did even better than I expected. All employees were very friendly, helpful and respectful. "We purchased a new home in the Crenshaw Manor/ West Adams / Leimert Park area and hired Shenon to handle a whole range of home renovation needs prior to us moving in. The main focus was a full kitchen and bathroom remodel. However, they handled many other jobs large and small, including a full electrical re-wiring and upgrade, carpet install in the bedrooms, new door installs (both interior and exterior), interior and exterior painting, stucco repair, several window replacements, recessed lighting installation, and an entire brand new HVAC system installation. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have enough money to replace all the windows we wished to do. Tom, Marcelo and the crew were respectful and professional at all times. Our neighbors also made comment about how courteous they were, which we found great considering the crew was working on the house for months. We made several adjustment and changes along the way and Tom was always great about accommodating our requests. In fact, the project was still turned around on time and on budget, even after we made some changes. That was great because we were about to welcome our second child and time was of the essence. They met the deadline they promised! The company was up front about pricing and billing and the one time we noticed a minor discrepancy it was handled quickly. We're very pleased with all the work and Shenon has been great about coming back to handle minor things that need attention, and even installing a kitchen item that was extremely late to be delivered. All in all, we can't wait to hire Shenon again."
