"The experience was very stressful. The siding crew was very rough on our 1774 home. They damaged portions of the trim, a window, and the metal roof. I had to constantly monitor the crew to make sure they minimized damage and completed the work correctly. It was difficult communicating with the Spanish-speaking crew. Materials are in my yard that still have not been picked up 2 weeks later. The finished siding looks good, but that is the best complement I can make. I had doors replaced by Power on a previous job and was very satisfied. I would be cautious recommending Power for siding replacement on a similar old house."

I am a retired senior citizen who was out of town when a major windstorm uprooted a tree that landed on my house, putting a hole in the roof, along with tearing down all of the siding, and destroying the Soffitt, Fascia, gutters and downspouts. BBS immediately secured a tarp on the roof to prevent further damage, assessed the situation and presented an estimate for the needed repairs/replacement. "Generally, I was pleased with the work. There were some scheduling issues (scheduled to start on a day, but didn't read through the texts to confirm, so didn't show up that day), but once they started the work, it was done in relatively good time. There was a pricing issue as well, in that we had contracted to have the siding repaired and replaced, but we didn't notice that the estimate did not include painting. When we asked about painting, we were told it was no problem. Once we received the quote for the painting however, we decided it was too much money, and said not to do the painting (via phone conversation and via text). The painting was done anyway, and though the cost for it was more than we had wanted to pay, it was already done and so we were stuck with having to pay additional money for it (though David did reduce the cost somewhat, which was helpful). There was also a quality issue with the work. However, when we called David and told him about the issue, he came to our house immediately to work through it, then stayed at the house with his employee and made sure everything was corrected. I was very impressed with David's willingness to correct mistakes and make sure we were satisfied. I would hire Rhinosite again, but I would be extra-extra-diligent in any and all communications with them."

"Vista started this job 9/17. From the beginning we were told by the salesman Eric and project manager Keith that the job would be finished to our satisfaction, all our concerns would be addressed. The roofing went well, we are pleased. The siding was a bigger job than they seemed prepared for. They removed wood siding and replaced rotten plywood. The siding looked fine except for an area in the front of our home which is vertically uneven. Holding a straight edge to the siding we have a one inch gap in the vertical level which was not properly prepared. Some our window frames are horrible. One of them has nails driven right in the center of the frame, others have gapping joints and one is wavy. They replaced our perfectly fine topped gutter with a 'top of the line' gutter which isn't topped so is now full of leaves. We live in the woods what were they thinking? At the signing of this contract our salesman Eric said he would do some porch screen framing and stain our new front door. He wanted payment of $600 stating this was his side job. After many, many phone calls, most being ignored, we have gotten no where. Brian Rudd finally came out and told us these problems would be corrected. Last we heard from him was 11/17. He emailed that the siding crew would be out that week to correct window trim. We never heard from or saw any of them again. They never installed the stove vent, stained the front door or corrected our siding issues. I've waited for spring thinking I would hear from them. Too bad, things started out well. Not a good company."

"However, as of Monday it will be almost a week since I have heard back and the only feedback I got was a promise to get back to me by the end of the day with a quote after I EMAILED HIM!
I have had so many handmen and contractors not call me back, or are unavailable. I was really excited to find someone and get started.
I felt like it shouldn't take this long to get an estimate on the work and I would rather be told straight forward that the project would not be big enough or the schedule did not work. If I am having this much trouble getting an estimate, what about the work?
We are trying to decide whether or not to put our home on the market and this price weighs in our decision."

"We priced out dumpsters and initially, the dumpsters looked like the way to go but upon reading the fine print, we realized they would have cost more than a bullbag. Each dumpster was about $150-$200 BUT each ONLY included up to 1 ton of material, and the companies would charge me an additional $85/ton over it. The bullbag price was NOT based on weight but rather just filling the bag to the top of the bag. The bullbag not only saved me money, but the people were nice to deal with, but everything they said, they actually did. We have a house on the Cape and we will use them there too in March. We were told up front that there would be an additional $75 fee because of the location, but it is STILL cheaper and easier than a metal dumpster."
