"I’ve recently had a major renovation of my home completed by Beantown Home Improvement. The project consisted of replacing the old clapboard and shingle siding with James Hardie fiber cement cedar mill planks. The project turned out great! Everyone who has seen it have had nothing but good comments about it. I’ve even had my neighbor request contact information for Beantown to get an estimate about a project he is looking to have done. The owner, Jim DelPrete, was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating, from the initial meeting to the completion of the project. Initially, the project’s start date was estimated to be in August, but Jim was able to get a crew to start in June. Throughout the project, Jim would stop by to check on the progress and he would always respond promptly if a question arose. Janice was also extremely helpful throughout the whole project, whether it was to stop by to take measurements or to field a number of inquiries by phone. They were both very pleasant and accommodating. The work crew was excellent and put in long days to complete the project in a little over a weeks time. "Very high pressure sales. They were more interested in getting it done quickly than the quality of the installation. The aluminum trim around the windows looks good but they did not replace all of the old wood underneath I requested. They would put it over anything. They did not bother to brush off the sills before covering them or remove saw dust. Many of them were cut too small because they assumed all trim was the same size. They had to redo most of them and they didn’t do the bottom corner’s correctly even though I explained to them how they should be done. When they didn’t want to do something they acted like they didn’t understand me."
