"Words can't express how happy we have been with our decision to go with Trickett Woodworks to build and install the cabinets in our custom kitchen. Geoff and Brian have been exceptional! Their communication before and during the project was always great. We had to delay the selection of our cabinet maker due to COVID, and Geoff was the only person that had regular check-ins with us during this time, none of the companies reached out to us at all. Trickett's workmanship is top notch. We asked for a very custom design that followed the contour of our cathedral ceiling which is not common. Geoff worked with us to come up with ideas on how best to accomplish the look we were going for and it turned out amazing. Geoff and Brian also went the extra mile when our countertop installers damaged several drawers and doors. Geoff made sure everything got fixed and that we were taken care of. I can't understate how happy we are with our cabinets and our experience with Trickett. We'll definitely be using them for future projects and highly recommend them to anyone."

"It didn't turn out. We got some lighting from them from a particular store and everything went fine but if you go through another store there forget it. I went there because the lady who runs the lighting department there, her name is Cindy Disio used to have her own lighting company and her bought lighting from her for the last house we built and we were extremely happy with Cindy and so when it came to getting fans for the new house we built that was what I thought to go to Cindy and it was awesome. She is unbelievable and it was because of her I was there."

"Michael recently finished a display cabinet for my dining room. As is typical of his work, the cabinet is perfect. He installed lighting in it and all the finishing touches are perfectly executed. Not only does he do great work, he is punctual, neat (he always cleans up the area in which he's been working and leaves it cleaner than when he began), and entirely professional."

"Rod and Jared both listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and produced. On one project, a bathroom cabinet, I had a picture of what I wanted and they created exactly what I wanted in cherry! I loved it and again get so many complements. They really have an eye for detail and their ideas are priceless. When they built my fireplace they suggested lifting it up and building a hearth. It turned out so nice and I must say it's a showpiece for my family room and gave me more seating which I desperately needed. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in East Wenatchee, WA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
