"Thank you to other reviewers for steering us to Real Estate Inspections. We hired them to inspect a large home we are buying in Haverford. The scheduling process was easy and efficient. Rick answered the phone and explained that they could provide all that I needed: home, termite, radon and pool inspections and all for a fair price. Rick then worked with me to set a date and time in the next few days that met my scheduling needs. Rick contacted my realtor directly to schedule for the radon person to arrive a few days before the inspection, so that the radon kit could be picked up at inspection. Flynn came out to do the inspection - on time and ready to go to work. My husband followed Flynn around during much of the inspection and he was very good at providing feedback both positive and negative about what he saw. Flynn let us know immediately that he thought the roof was at the end of it's life and that the fireplaces had problems. He also provided us on the spot with a list of contractors including roofers that Real Estate Inspections recommends. His on the spot feedback allowed us to quickly call a couple of roofers and a fireplace company to come out for second tier inspections and bids - which allowed us to make an informed response to the seller all within our tight inspection time frame. Flynn then provided us with a complete detailed written report within 48 hours. He was very responsive, when I called him two times after receiving the report with questions. Flynn is very knowledgable and great about sharing information not only about defects but how to best care for your house moving forward. "Everyone from Allied (4 inspectors + termite inspector which was outsourced to an independent contractor) were wonderfully professional, polite, helpful and more than competent. I had a tight deadline, so one inspector even came out 2 days early which was a holiday to preset the radon and collect a water sample. This allowed results to be delivered to me on the day of inspection. <br />Our inspection was for a working commercial property and had to be conducted while customers were on the premises. I can't say enough good things about how professional, considerate and discreet they were as they moved around the building. <br />My very detailed final report was emailed to by early evening on the same day of inspection. It was easy to read and understand and contained pictures of everything discussed in the report. <br />Even the support staff in the office made scheduling the inspection easy. Everything was explained thoroughly, forms were simple and easy to use on line. "Larry was very professional, friendly, and punctual.  He encouraged my wife and I to follow him throughout the inspection and he thoroughly explained everything that he was doing.  If there were any notes he was making, he took the time to make sure we understood what the flaws/etc were in the home, the severity of them, and gave recommendations on how to get the issues fixed.  I felt he took adequate amount of time for the inspection and he did get up on the roof to do a close visual inspection of the condition. <br /> I did give a B for price.  The standard inspection cost was quoted as $500 (included pest inspection and radon test) <br /> but we were not able to get the water turned on prior to the inspection and we also did not have the HVAC unit running prior to the inspection and, therefore, those systems could not be tested.  I explained this to the agent over the phone who set up the appointment.  I was told that since the water system would not be inspected, we would have a $25 discount (5% off total price) which is nice but I would have expected a little more of a discount since testing the water/sewer systems would have comprised more than 5% of the work to be done.  Overall I'm happy with the service that was provided, felt pricing was somewhat fair, and based on the experience we had with Larry I wouldn't hesitate to use BPG again. <br />"
