We were taking down an old deck and adding a room to our house, along with doing a little kitchen remodeling. Dave and Andrew are excellent craftsmen. They also came up with creative solutions to some tricky design problems. Dave and Andrew always showed up on time, worked hard, then cleaned up the site at the end of the day. My step-father was a builder and I learned from him that there are right ways and wrong ways to do a job. Dave and Andrew did things the right way, and never cut corners. I highly recommend Green Island Homes. Also, I got 4 bids on this job and their price was very fair."

I spent quite a bit of time interviewing and getting quotes for a major 2 story deck project for my house which included some intense structural improvements to my house as well, since some of the existing columns where in tough shape. Meeting these standards allows the converted space to be included in your home's total square footage, potentially increasing its value.
In most cases, you do not need to hire an architect for a garage conversion. An experienced garage conversion contractor usually has the skills to help create your desired design and ensure the project meets building codes. However, if your conversion involves complex structural changes or a large-scale redesign, hiring an architect can be beneficial. An architect can provide detailed plans and oversee the design to maximize space and functionality, ensuring the conversion aligns with your vision and complies with all regulations.
