"It was a pleasure working with Leon and Crown Roofing. Our tile roof is 28 years old and had developed a couple of leaks. Crown removed the tiles and replaced the underlayment. They are very competitive on pricing. Everything was included in his price, including any damaged wood that they might find when they removed the tiles. Other contractors charged additional for any unseen damage. His crew was always on time, were professional, did the project in a timely manner and a very good job of cleanup at the end of each day. "We had a leak around the chimney area of our roof. Rick initially diagnosed the leak as from old flashing in need of replacing. Was quoted $1250 for the repair. They had their guys come out promptly and replace the flashing all around the base of the chimney where it meets the roof. Doing a nice clean job. However, upon the next rain event that we had (about 1 week later), the leak was still vey apparent. Rick came back out to look at it again, and realized that he had mis-diagnosed the problem, and that the leak was actually coming from another area where the fascia board on the side of the roof penetrates the chimney stack. He was very apologetic and reduced the amount that I owed him for the repair by 50%. He then referred me to a stucco contractor to correct the actual problem. He was very honest, and I appreciate his being willing to work with us. To be honest the flashing probably needed to be replaced anyway in my 30 year old house."

"Initially we called Protecta Roofing to get our roof inspected. Even though we currently did not have leak issues we thought it wise to have the roof inspected as the ceramic tiles were close to 30 years old. Mario was prompt in responding and coming out to inspect. We were informed of 10 broken tiles. Our decision was to have the tiles replaced and power wash the roof to remove algae which included applying an organic sealant product. After a couple weeks of failed attempts to obtain an estimate from Mario I was in touch with Edith, the company sales manager. From then on the communication and process went smoothly. Edith and crew were a delight to work with. Her knowledge of the work to be done and concern for my satisfaction were impressive. In addition to repairing the broken tiles, our solar panels were cleaned along with painting the pipe flashings. Because everything looked so clean we decided to have Protecta power wash our driveway and side walkways, which are also cleaned with the organic algae solution. The work done was outstanding!"

"They professionally repaired a problem roof on the balcony in front of the house. They started by doing a complete demolition of the sloppy previous repairs. The demo was a lot of work. Their solution was complete and well executed. Their price was very competitive. I think the repair required more work than they had estimated, but they declined to take additional money for the additional work. It's often hard to interest a contractor in a small job. Alvarez Roofing squeezed our repair into a weekend between their larger jobs. They are highly responsible."
