"The Cliffnotes version: Dawley Asphalt did a fantastic job and I will use them in the future! Job description (I wish more reviewers would specify this!): we have a 200+ foot driveway that flares out near the house to accommodate a 3-car garage plus turn-around. I received 5 other estimates that ranged from $900-2300, but 3 out of the 5 were in the $1100-1400 range. When I first called Dawley (Late June), I was discouraged because the woman who answered the phone told me they were so busy it would take 2-3 weeks to even come out for an estimate and they would probably not be able to schedule the work until Sep-Oct time-frame! However, Jerry Dawley called me less than a week later and got an estimate to me the following day. We then had the work done the last week of July. The work was fantastic! We had them seal the cracks and then re-coat the entire driveway with sealer. They arrived on time (even called to say they were on the way), and performed the work professionally. I was quite surprised to see it only took them about 2 hours to complete our somewhat large-ish driveway. The work was very neat and the driveway now looks great again. I had probably waited too long to get this work done, but I will now not hesitate to get my cracks filled and driveway coated more frequently. I won't gather estimates next time -- I'm calling Dawley!"

"To be honest, when I read the Reviews posted by some of Walter’s customers I was a bit skeptical of how consistently very positive they all were but I quickly joined that chorus based on his performance for me. I have had my driveway seal coated every two years for the past ten years and without a doubt Walter has been the most professional of them all. He was very timely and meticulous in doing the project at a reasonable price. In fact, by using the rubberized fill he was able to make some repairs I was expecting to have to pay an asphalt contractor a couple of thousand dollars to do separately. "Jeff, Anthony, Val and the crew did a fabulous job. We solicited multiple estimates from contractors. One vendor wanted $15K, evidently he had enough jobs in his queue. Another never showed. The rest were competitive. I selected Jeff because of a personal reference from a friend who recently had his driveway done. Jeff explained what was involved, the type material he would use, what made the driveway deteriorate and what makes it durable. I knew a lot more than I got from other bidders. Bottom line, Jeff set expectations on quality, schedule, and what I was going to get for my money--which I really appreciated. He also advised me to ask others if they would allow a core sample after pouring to ensure they delivered what I'd be charged for--a great idea. The original home builder gave me about 2 inches with a questionable base and it didn't hold up under the vehicle weights over the years. Jeff said it really needed 3-3.5 inches and that was the MINIMUM I got from him because I got to see it go down. He also used crushed concrete for the base which was more impervious to water damage and similar to that often used in road construction. The crew showed up on time and completed the work in two days. My wife and I got to talk with several of the crew. They were extremely courteous and professional. Jeff and Anthony were very personable and patient in answering my questions. Their personalities reinforced that I had made a great decision in hiring them for this job. I recommend anyone needing asphalt work include them when soliciting estimates. They were great to work with."
