The second was from Jose, who showed up at my home and assessed the situation. The cost was higher but I think the first bidder, when he got to my home would have seen the problems associated with the job and raised his bid. Either that or the quality would have been a great deal below what I received from Cardenas Concrete. In addition, Jose suggested that I contact the plumbing company that caused one of the problems associated with the project. I did and that company corrected that problem at zero cost. I am a big believer that you get what you pay. "Great job, this was a somewhat complicated project. I had two contractors, one to demo, design and rebuild the basement and EnviroShapes to tear out and replace the concrete. So there was a lot of coordination needed between them including redoing some underground plumbing. In addition I had to access the site through the back of my neighbors property which required careful use and care. The finished floor is great, so nice to have after dealing with years of heaving and broken concrete that was originally there. The new one has rebar at two foot spacing with 3,000 psi concrete. It should be bomb proof."
