"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Over a period of approximately 3 weeks, water-damaged, drop ceiling tiles, drywall/insulation and carpeting was removed from a basement bedroom following a leak in a water pipe in the ceiling. They treated the studs to remove mold and left a dehumidifier/ large fans to dry out the studs and floor.
Installed new insulation and drywall, new ceiling tiles, then painted entire room. Carpet was re-installed in the bedroom and stairwell so carpet would match throughout.
The work performed was excellent and personnel were courteous. Besides having some issues with the personnel arriving when scheduled to arrive, we were very satisfied with the whole experience.

"These guys were amazing! It probably wouldn’t seem like a big deal if you needed repair work on your mailbox, you call Angie’s List and they send someone out to fix it. Actually it was a very big deal to me! I have a physical disability that limits what I can and cannot do. Plus I am the soul caregiver for my dad who’s 84 and has dementia so when something goes wrong or needs repair I need the problem solved asap. That’s when D & D Home Repair & Remodels comes to my aid and what they did wasn’t good, it was great! They went above and beyond for me! They could have slapped the mailbox back together and I wouldn’t have even known about it (until it fell apart within a couple of days). They went and bought brand new parts and didn’t even charge me! I really, really appreciated what these guys did for me! Their mothers raised them right and for that, I’m grateful!"
