"Apparently, my mom's toilet had a slow leak that eventually weakened the structure that supports it I discovered this when I was washing dishes in the kitchen and felt drops of water on my head. I ran upstairs to find the floor almost totally given away.
I searched on Angie's list and found this contractor and they came over right away to assess the damage; they were shocked. I explained that this is my mother's house and I only live here two months out of the year to help her through the winter months. I stated my mom is 83 and she has a very low heart rate, around 40, has had two knee replacements several years ago that are wearing out, and she gets out of breath when she walks down three flights of stairs to use the 1/2 bathroom down in the basement.
The contractor asessing the job, took notes, took pictures, was very sympathetic, and forwarded the pictures and details to his boss. The boss scheduled reconstruction work for the very next day as he too felt that it was an emergency.
The work is not finished and they will come back next week to put the final finishing touches on everything which includes leveling the floor and putting new vinyl flooring down. This comment is for the first part of the work, the professional response and follow up, and work to reconstruct the floor in one day so my mom would have to climb down three flights of stairs. When you look for a contractor you are looking for the following:

Prompt reply
Prompt visit to assess the work requested
Friendly contractor; one that sees the situation through the eyes of the customer requesting the work
Prompt scheduling of work
Quality Professional work
This vendor was all that and more. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism.

"

"This project started in July 2015 and it's still not completed. My "new" roof leaks more than the old. In December 2015, I noticed my first leak with the new roof. They blamed it on tuck pointing. The second leak was noticed in May 2016. The latest leak was noticed on 7/23/2016.
So, on August 2 I hired and independent roofing inspector. He found that the chimney wasn't properly sealed , hence the leak in December. The June leak was because they "forgot" to replace flashing and install parts of the guttering. They did come out and install new flashing but only on the leaking window. Keep in mind that the other windows still don't have flashing. I guess they are waiting for those to leak before they install the flashing. The needed guttering was also not installed. The most recent leak has not been addressed. The owner is aware of this problem. I have sent pictures, texts and emails along with the inspectors report but with NO response.
The siding was installed with mismatched colors. I called and let them know that the siding didn't match. I was told it would be fixed asap. The siding was finally replaced 2 +months later but with more mismatched colors. They finally got the siding to match a few weeks later.
I also had to clean up after the workers. I have a covered porch which was sided with brick like shingle material. When they installed the new siding over the old , all the small granules were left on my porch . The porch is carpeted so I was unable to just sweep it up. It needed to be vacuumed up with a shop vac. Because the large granules, it broke my Dyson vacuum immediately. I also had to rent a steam cleaner because one of the workers dropped his big gulp of soda on the carpet and left it there, cup and all. I came home from work to find a floor covered in ants.
I also don't believe that they went over the yard with a metal roller. I have found at least 100 nails in my yard. I am surprised that one of my dogs hasn't stepped on one.
During the entire project, I was NEVER notified of when the workers were showing up. Typically, this may not have been a big deal but it's rather alarming to find 3 workers looking in your window when you're walking around in a towel because you just got out of the shower.
They also left my back gate open not once but TWICE. Each time I would come home and my dogs would be gone. The last time happened on the hottest day of the year. I was LIVID!!! One of my dogs had been missing for 24 hours. I was afraid that he might have died of dehydration or heat exhaustion. Luckily, a neighbor found him under a bush.
I had so many problem that I was told that we would have a meeting between myself, the sales person, the project manager, PEI owner and the roofing foremen to discuss all the problems and get them taken care of. This never happened !!!

Do not use this company"

"Mint Property Services did an exceptional job. They were professional and punctual, and communicated well throughout the process regarding progress and timelines. They completed all items to degrees that met or exceeded expectations. Jason, the owner, is very patient and helpful. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions concerning installing this stove in a manufactured home. During installation of tile on wall and floor, they paid great attention to detail and thoughtfully arranged the tile to ensure an even and aesthetically pleasing distribution of colors\patterns. They also provided much helpful input regarding options, as my wife and I had it far from nailed down when we called them. The tile turned out great, and after a few months of use and the dropping of several large pieces of oak on it, it has held up with no cracks or other issues. They completed custom carpentry work of their own design to trim out all of the tile. It looks good and "fits" the character of the stove and tile perfectly. The installation of the stove and all associated items also went very well. The stove was installed perfectly in regard to location and orientation, it draws perfectly, and after several heavy rains, we have experienced leaks around the chimney. We couldn't be more pleased."

"A drunk driver crashed into our house in the middle of the night. JBenson arrived within 2 hours of having called them for emergency board up service the next day. They sent a crew of 4 (plus an electrician that arrived later). After reviewing the damage, they said they could just board it up or fix the structure. They removed all broken pieces to the structure, reframed the corner, placed sheeting and tyvek and cleaned up the glass around the site. Their electrician (a sub) ran a dummy line through the broken outlet so that we could turn the electricity back on to that part of the house.
The cost listed above is an estimate based on the 5 hours of work. I have not yet seen the claim so I did not rate on cost.
All of the team was very professional and courteous. We are waiting for a final bid to see if they come back to finalize the work.
"

"Very good communication to arrange the quote and actual work, and they showed up on time. The job started as basic wall and trim work, with no detail for closet and door work. The price for that work was very competitive. Upon seeing that work I added 3 additional walls and closet trim work (shelving, door jams, etc.) and the price escalated significantly, by more than double. The ending price was the same had I hired a professional painter, versus Bostad, which is more of a handyman service. While I like the work Bostad performed, for the final price, I would have preferred to go with a professional painter as they would have prepped the walls as necessary.
"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair. The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time.
Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot.
I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction.
WRS

"
