Get matched with top carpentry framing repairers in Evanston, IL

"They added a dormer to my house and did a great job. Framed, sided, roofed, and added gutters. They cleaned up everyday, laid down floor protections, and showed up everyday they were supposed to. I would definitely use them again"

"THE BEST! They were incredible communicative and did excellent work! I would recommend them to anyone looking for any carpentry work. Kind, hardworking, and get the job done!"

"We have worked with Gorman Carpentry on several repairs around our home. We have used Gorman for projects such as fencing/gate repairs in the past. Most recently they helped to repair the deck/patio at our home. The weather, over time, caused wood to rotten and several of the nails began to rust. During the assessment of the problem, they went into detail as to why the wood may have been affected, gave recommendations to the best approach and provided an estimate of the work upfront to ensure we were aligned on expectations from a budgeting standpoint. Overall the work completed was very well done. We carpenters are highly skilled and do a good job answering any questions we had along the way. We plan to use Gorman in the future, should the need arise."

"Jose is very accommodating- thorough- I wanted two shelves attached to my kitchen soffit to salt and pepper shakers in my kitchen- he measured very carefully, painted the wood and they were placed with precision- Jose is kind and when he was going to need an extra day to complete he gave me enough notice- he cleaned up and I would highly recommend him for all your carpentry needs."

"Needed some outside stairs repaired. Work was done promptly even though the weather was cold."

"Installation of over toilet cabinets, towel bars, towel rings, and toilet paper holders. Appointment was set up extremely quickly. Work was accomplished efficiently, and professionally. First class work."

"Mike installed some crown molding that we had purchased from someone who was remodeling their approx. 100-year old house that matched very closely to the molding we already had in other rooms in our house (also around 100-years old). Mike did an incredible job - it looks better than what we had expected. It looks like it's been there since the house was built, which is exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend Mike - he was very easy to work with, very communicative, and very skilled at what he does!"

"The contractors were courteous and thorough. They purchased the materials and repaired the concrete and the wooden garage door frame. They also repaired my garage door which was not in our agreement. I would like to pay them for repairing it. I would recommend this company and would like to hire them in the future. Thank you for the recommendation."

"Robert and his crew were the best at everything, from the initial estimate, to the scheduling, to the high-quality work, all done in a very short time, even in freezing weather! I would hire them again for any framing. They are some of the hardest-working guys that I have seen in a while, showing up every day at 7am, getting started right away, and not stopping until they were done. Very good experience!"
