"From the beginning Ely was extremely professional and upfront about service and cost. I had a problem on my end causing me to cancel and Ey was extremely accommodating. I then needed the service for another vehicle so immediately contacted Ely. The service was extremely quick and exactly as promised. I would highly recommend United Freight to anyone transporting a car, particularly between FL and NY."

"Mike did all the work we asked of him as we worked to decide whether to try to save our beautiful hedge or take it out and build a great fence. Mike provided references and we drove to two sites to see the quality of his work. In both cases the posts were dead straight, all the angles were perfect and he has the best price in the region for cedar. At the end of the exercise we decided to prune the hedge hard and make significant landscaping improvements. We will know in one year whether it was the right choice. Then you can bet we'll back to mike and Fencing Unlimited to get that project built."

"Elbert's did an extraordinary job with our reroofing. Their sales person was complete in educating me about quality roofing and setting expectations. Expectations were met. Crew was efficient, accommodating, and responsive. We are very proud of our new, good looking roof. I would very readily recommend Elbert's to my friends."

"Design Your Basement is an amazing service that's helping us finish our basement, so that our family can enjoy our entire house. The design process was fast and seamless. The team at Design Your Basement provides great customer service and helped us identify design opportunities that we never would have thought to include. Not long after contacting Design Your Basement, the professionals were there to measure our basement. In no time at all, they had design ready for our review, which was based on our feedback. We enjoyed our design presentation meeting and it was easy to make the changes we wanted from the initial draft design. In addition, the 3D walk-through made it easy to envision how the basement will look before anything was done. Contractors from Design Your Basement are now helping us with framing and consulting with us on DIY portions of the project. We strongly recommend Design Your Basement."

"I used Angie's list to pick Head's construction.  The lady who answered my initial call sounded irritated-she took my contact information and curtly told me that this was their answering service and someone would call me back.   <br /> Robert, a much more customer-service oriented man, called back a few hours later and left a voicemail with me and his cell number.  We played phone tag a bit, since I sometimes work night shifts, but we were able to connect and set an appt for him to meet me and see the house.  Robert was on time, courteous, joined me in conversation with the local code enforcer who happened to be making neighborhood rounds and was chatting with me outside.   He gave me a good assessment and insight about problem areas (which matched what the code enforcement man had told me), and spent an hour there taking measurement and teaching me some about the construction of the house and how that impacted the current repairs that were needed. He had many years of experience, was knowledgeable about the construction process and insightful as to the neighborhood home values versus the kind of overhaul project I was considering.  He mentioned that the materials Head's uses is very good quality, which sounds consistent with some of the reviews I had read on Angie's list that stated Head's was more expensive than other quoted contractors.   <br /> He emailed within a day with a ballpark figure, to see if I wanted to proceed with a detailed quote based on the expense I was looking at.  I decided against proceeding with that project for the time being, but would certainly contact him again for other projects in the future. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Evansville, IN

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
