""Mick did a spectacular job on our basement!!! He installed and painted wood paneling on the workshop wall and pieced repairs on our spare room floor. The flooring we bought was slightly different from the original, but you can hardly tell that it's different. We asked him to do the patch-in the same direction as the wood grain in the original flooring. This involved a lot more cutting, but it turned out great! Luckily, it was a beautiful day, so he said he didn't mind going out to our patio to cut the pieces. And it was warm enough that day that he could just leave the sliding door open and go in and out easily as he needed! He must be an excellent puzzle master, as he got the whole floor back together and looking great! He even cleaned up after the work so the room looks better than ever."

Although Gordon was busy building a staircase for a Parade of Homes home, he took time out from his busy schedule to come to my house to provide a temporary fix so that we could access the upper level of our home. Gordon did excellent, painstaking work while being very mindful of keeping dust to a minimum and cleaning up as the job proceeded and after the work was completed. He also offered to provide/provided a handrail left over from a previous job. Gordon is a true craftsman, who takes genuine pride in his work. As such, he is currently in great demand. "I was very impressed with Doug's Handyman Service. They came on time, finished within the 2 hours they estimated, and the price was as expected and cheaper than most competitors. They were very nice and professional over the phone and in person. They gave me options for materials, allowed me to choose the fan I wanted, and explained extra prices for fancier fan options and expenses for possible mold removal (thankfully there was no mold!). Cleanup was a bit lacking, but was pretty typical of any construction crew. Four months and several severe thunderstorms later, and everything still works great with no leaks. Overall, they were great and I'd hire them again!"
