"I think Joe is a very respectful guy, a hard worker and he is constantly in touch with you regarding your project. I cannot say the same thing from his helper, as he was not trained to do the job, consequently affecting the termination of the project. Lots of nails missed the beams, some areas where just patched and another small section left unfinished. Cedar planks from the adjacent fence were taken out, some broken and replaced, but not with cedar planks. Neighbor complained about trash left behind the fence. There was certainly a lot of manual labor involved, but lacked the finishing touch."

"I reached out to All American because of the very impressive work I've seen done in my neighborhood. I only needed two 6" posts and a gate fixed on my existing fence, a relatively small project. I called and spoke to Tania, who seemed happy to look at pictures and provide an estimate. After 11 days, I received two quotes. I selected one of them, responded, and after 28 more days and no reply, had to call again to follow up. She recalled the conversation, and stated she'd provide a contract. I followed up the next day with an e-mail stating same. After another eight days and hearing nothing, I decided to move forward with another company. If the job was too small, or the company too busy, I would've preferred they just tell me."

"When he appeared, I was expecting a gentleman with the name of Joe, he corrected me he was a craftsman and not a handyman, he was extremely disrespectful to me for being a woman, he said that most women on my position doe not understand the work that needs to be done. I had a list of projects that he had to do, he kept going back that he was not a handyman, he was a craftsman, he left and said he was going to come back and I did not hear back from him anymore. He was not honest about the expense and Materials that was needed for the job. He promised an itemized invoice but he did not provided."

FAQs for vinyl or pvc fence repair projects in Fairfax, VA

Repairing or replacing a part of your fence is almost always less expensive than replacing it altogether. If your fence is in major disrepair or requires more than 20% to 30% replacement, it may be a better investment to replace your entire fence. Contact at least three fence repair specialists near you to get quotes for both a repair and replacement project.

All vinyl fences are made of PVC, a type of vinyl that stands for polyvinyl chloride. But not all PVC is the same. PVC resin is combined with other ingredients, giving it strength and weather-resistance. High-quality PVC vinyl fences include additives that provide more durability—and therefore cost more. Check out various types of vinyl fences and their features before deciding on your material.

You can repair small cracks or holes in your vinyl fence easily using a vinyl repair kit. If the crack is especially large or seems to be impacting the fence's integrity, you may need to replace the whole rail or post. However, you should hire a local fence installer for major repairs.

With proper maintenance and care, a vinyl fence can last up to 30 years. To ensure the longest life possible for your vinyl fence, ensure that it is installed properly and take care to check it regularly for any areas that may need minor maintenance or repair.
