"This company is not who they say they are. The person named Carlito , it’s not his real name. He does not hold a contractor license or salesman license in Maryland. This company is run under his sister, through you will never see or know she exists. His real name is Brian G Mitchell, make sure you case search and find out the truth. I been dealing with him for years to get my addition finished and he has done nothing but take money and make excuses why he can’t work. Man has more personal issues, walked off the job without communication for 4 months. Lied to me and said framing passed inspections, they never did. If you even consider using this company, think again."

"Our family home has always been clean and functional but after thirty years it had become more a picture postcard from the 1980’s than the warm inviting image we had in our mind. It was obviously time to update. Unfortunately, after talking with numerous contractors, it seemed we would have to reduce our expectations or spend more than we had budgeted to afford remodeling our “dining room, living room, kitchen” (and eventually bathrooms too!) project. While pondering our next move a family friend told us they recently had Rohan remodel their kitchen/living space and it looked great and was, they thought, affordable. After seeing for ourselves the quality of workmanship, the improvements to ‘flow and functionality’ and the overall aesthetic appeal, we decided to give Rohan a call. Boy are we glad we did! Upon meeting Rohan for the first time we were shown the same optimism, knowledge through experience, flexibility of thought and dedication to quality that would continue straight through to the end of our multi-week project. His proposal/estimate covered all our wants and needs while fitting within our budget. The job was a total re-do and from floors to walls to counters to cabinets to plumbing to electrics and all were handled by Rohan and his team with time honed skill. The work was done in a timely fashion without ever leaving us wondering where people were or what they were going to be doing each step of the way. Every eventual ‘architectural surprise’ was met with candor, budgeted creativity and a hearty “no problem!” In the end our home was transformed ergonomically, aesthetically and affordably into a beautiful space where family and friends gather in happiness and in harmony with their surroundings. "Willis Builders did 2 full baths & kitchen reno + laminate floor install on main level of our modest 3-story T/H (Jan-Apr ‘24). Marcelo was our PM and as many others say, his crew did not disappoint. Willis was neither the highest nor the lowest quote of several but we felt Matt Willis presented the most honest and realistic estimate for our project and he hit that nail on the head. They might say we bothered them with questions; we might say we had to nudge them a few times. We did our homework to help things move along more smoothly & they did their best to accommodate us. We purchased a bunch of stuff before choosing a contractor. No matter what we threw at them, installation was a success which is a testament to the knowledge and capabilities of Marcelo & crew (Horatio, Frankie & “George”). When we were undecided or unsure about a product, Marcelo steered us toward better or more appropriate alternatives. We had no issue, as a few others suggested, with crews leaving things clean at the end of the day. Our T/H is small with limited space for them to work/store materials & equipment. We never felt compromised during 3 months of disruption. (And we never hesitated to leave our home when work was being done.) Is everything perfect? No, there is no such thing as perfection in an almost 40-yr old house reno or any reno for that matter. There were a few glitches as we expected, but uh-ohs and problems that arose were resolved promptly. We waited to post this glowing review of our project to see if any problems showed up, and none did. Until the ceiling in our bedroom collapsed several months later which had absolutely nothing to do with their work. We are so thankful that we had no reservations about sending Matt Willis an SOS for help with our emergency. In fact, we were so confident in his work that we decided to add painting and a carpet upgrade to what has become an almost total house reno. Again, Matt’s estimates were fair and reasonable, such that our confidence in his company allowed us to forgo spending time getting quotes from others. Matt told us repeatedly how good his ‘drywall guy’ was, and he did not exaggerate! Will & sidekick Carlos were fast and fastidious! The carpet install was equally quick and painless. We are so very happy with the results of our sudden and unexpected 2nd Willis project. We're sorry we didn’t get a chance to rave about how thrilled we are with the results of our 1st until now. If you’re considering home improvements, we highly recommend you consider Willis Builders. We’re doubly happy we did!"

"Tri State was prompt—they had a tech out within hours when our 20-year-old HVAC broke down. The repair estimate was $800–$1,200, and they also sent a salesman, Mike, to discuss replacement. Mike was courteous and knowledgeable, but, when we sat down to review the quote, the sales process turned into a bad car-buying experience. They started at $34,000, then "discounted" to $29,300—$10,000 -$12,000 higher than other quotes for the exact same unit. Even factoring in their warranty, they remained $8,000–$10,000 overpriced. Mike also claimed they were a four-generation family-owned business, but I later found out they’re owned by Sila Services, a Goldman Sachs private equity firm—which feels misleading. To their credit, canceling was easy (though I hadn’t signed a financing agreement or put money down). Bottom line: Get multiple quotes. Their pricing was excessive, and the sales tactics felt manipulative."

"STAY AWAY!!!! This Company cancelled the initial estimate on me 3 times making me drive 90 minutes to the property each time. They finally showed and gave me the typical hard sell "if you sign the contract today..." They gave us a quote so far over market value we should have walked away. But we agreed because of the "70 year history in the industry" We thought we were buying a service from a company with integrity. They took an immediate $18K deposit on a $55K project. I know, shame on me for agreeing to such an amount. We knew we were over spending, but... One month later, they simply cancelled the contract without explanation and without any work on the project. This contract was binding on us but, in their words, was not binding on them because "there's a clause in the fine print that allows them to cancel" THEY STILL HAVE OUR MONEY and I STILL NEED A ROOF Stay away from this company. No integrity No responsibility Unreliable Over priced Will take your money and keep it"
