The workmanship on the retaining wall was top-notch, better than expected. I should also note that upon learning one of his crew accidentally took my shovel after the cleaning up, Max immediately took action by sending me a brand new shovel even though I told him it was unnecessary."

"We contracted with Mottern about 10 years ago to have a retaining wall built to replace a poorly constructed wall holding up the driveway. The wall was block on footer and it has held beautifully. When we original had the wall built, we decided against covering it with decorative stone. Jeff told us at the time that they would come back and add it if we ever changed our mind. Here we are ten years later deciding to add the stone. We called Mottern because the wall they built has had no issues (previous iterations of the wall had plenty of issues). Mr. Sanchez and his crew did a great job of grinding out the old cement, stabilizing the stones where necessary and putting in new cement. The crew was efficient and polite. The job was finished on time and for a fair price, IMO. Before and after photos (of one small area) attached. [One note: The grinding out of the old cement created a signigicant amount of dust. much of which went into the adjacent garden. My wife was/is concerned this will affect the chemistry of the soil, thereby affecting the health of her plants. Just be aware.] Highly recommend."
