"A valve underneath my Kenmore dishwasher began leaking, and I called Appliance Zen because of the reviews on Angie's List and because I had a discount coupon. It took three tries to fix the leak, because each new part was defective (a supplier issue, not one with the installer), but Sebastian stuck with it until the problem was solved. He even made a free repair?including providing the $50 part at no charge?to my electric range, just as a courtesy gesture to compensate for my having to wait longer than expected for the dishwasher to be fixed."

"I had some good experiences with Mike’s Heating. The best was the installers were very nice and friendly. They seemed to do good work. I really don’t have any bad issues. I think they could have done a little better with follow up in terms of checking how things were going, suggesting annual service and stuff like that. I haven’t really heard much from them since. I remember it wasn’t cheap, but it was reasonable, no worse than anyone else."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
