"Long story short, hire Raindrop Roofing NW if you have a roofing job you need done right, consistent with manufacturer’s instructions. By contrast: the outfit that replaced the roof on our Dutch Colonial for the previous owners cut corners on the steep mansard slopes. As a result, the new roof which should have lasted 25 years, started failing in three. (I’ve been repairing drooping shingles ever since and have had to learn more about roofing than I ever envisioned or desired.) A few years back we hired a local company with an Angie’s List A-rating to re-shingle the problem slopes, but we had to let them go when we caught them taking the same shortcuts that caused the first roof to fail. Their excuse: the manufacturer’s instructions were excessive. (Yet these were the same instructions they had previously agreed to follow.) It’s worth noting that roofing product warranties are almost always dependent on installation consistent with manufacturer’s instructions. Nonetheless, it took several years to find another company that would agree in writing to do so at an uninflated price. Given the above experiences, we worked closely with Raindrop and watched their work with an eagle eye. They did everything we asked for and beyond! This included making extensive improvements to the roof’s ventilation, especially in the steep mansard regions. Further, the Taylor Metal standing-seam system they applied to the garage and patio looks and functions great. Their final price was consistent with their estimate, and right where it should have been given the size of our house and the materials requested. (Unlike many of their competitors, Raindrop doesn’t gouge the homeowner for requesting standing-seam metal in addition to composite roofing.) Bottom line: next time you’re walking down a street in Portland, look for the abundant tell-tale signs of roof repairs – visible patches of replacement shingles. It’s perhaps not surprising that in this sustained building boom, quality installation at a fair price is hard to come by. I'm happy to report Raindrop is the welcome exception."

"My experience with Aylwin Construction was 5 stars. They did the job in just three days and added copper-beaded shingles for moss control for only $100 more. Alywin's Crews were on time and cleaned up as they went, provided protection for our plantings, and did a complete sweep for nails and other debris when finished. My family is looking forward to having Aylwin do a full replacement this year or next with a full Tesla Roof. I was completely surprised to read the recent review regarding the quality of work done by Aylwin Construction at a local condominium. Over the past 20 years, as an owner of one of Portland’s larger boutique industrial real estate firms, I have recommended Aylwin Construction to my biggest and best real estate investors. Making a poor recommendation would reflect poorly on me and my company. I have recommended Aylwin Construction to friends with structurally difficult Mid-Century solid deck roofs, large REIT buildings throughout Oregon and Washington, medium Family-owned apartments, and my own family members for roof cleaning, on Mt. Hood, new gutter systems, and full roof replacements and repairs. Multi-million-dollar Multi-Family jobs have been completed Professionally and on time without fail. Aylwin their own fleet of dumpsters and roof cranes that protect the property, speed up projects, and reduce on-the-job injuries. "Hag a vent in the roof that was decaying due to age. They worked hard to get the needed parts in quickly and even moved my scheduled date up as soon as the part came in to get the job done before the rains started."

"After receiving a ridiculously high quote from a large Company for a small roof repair I put off getting it fixed. Then it leaked again. I was skeptical about calling another roofing company believing they would all be out to take advantage of me. So I took the chance and called Pro Roofer. Gabriel called back me very quickly. I spoke to him and told him the situation with my roof. He came out that day and inspected what I had going on. He called me back and told me what he had found. Turns out that more than likely the leak wasn't even coming from the area the Large company was going to charge me almost $2000 to fix. The leak was more likely from a window that needed resealed. Gabriel came back the very next day and fixed my window ( actually two windows) and put some tar on a couple of flashing spots. I was charged a fraction of the cost of what the other company was going to charge me and probably would still have the leak. The integrity and honesty Gabriel showed will definitely make me a repeat customer. That kind of honesty and exceptional customer service is hard to find. Thank you Gabriel and Pro Roofer!"

"Their team removed 3 layers of old roofing and put a brand new roof on for the most affordable price I could find. It has been a year and they did a free inspection to make sure its top notch. Its holding up super well and I know I can call them if they happened to make any mistakes as well. I highly recommend their professionalism and quality for a roof that will last years and years!"

"Rain City Roofers: an honest, straightforward, skilled and reasonable roofing contractor I was entertaining the idea of having a major home improvement entity install a new roof, new screened gutters and new upstairs windows on my 1911 home in inner SE Portland, but the price tag shock (over $30K for those three projects) gave me considerable pause. And this companyâ s sales technique (which I now know is called â price conditioningâ (contractor starts out with what they represent as the average price for the type of project, rather than figuring the time and materials cost and adding a reasonable profit), was a turn-off. When I questioned the price approach, the big outfit started offering a much lower price. But now I did not trust them. Instead, after more research, I decided to go with three different companies, each of which specialized in only one product and service, and each of which was very straightforward regarding its bid to do the work. One of those companies was a gutter outfit, which in turn referred me to Rain City Roofers in Vancouver for my roofing needs. Rain City was not the lowest bid I received for the roofing job on our SE Portland home, but I was impressed by the high level of installation quality (e.g., using more nails than the minimum to ensure shingles would not blow off, as well as its use of an attractive and intelligently designed architectural shingle made by Owens Corning, a tried & true company, and also the degree of care that Rain City put into planning and executing the roofing proposal. But what absolutely sold me on Rain City Roofers was its honesty and straightforwardness from start to finish, by each and every person connected with the company, including its knowledgable sales rep Don, the receptionist (Elizabeth), the entire roofing crew that came out, and the owner Jason and his son Austin. I could not be happier with the finished product, and I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Rain City Roofers to those in the Portland metro area. This outfit was a genuine pleasure to deal with, from start to finish."

"I have had several roofs done by Bayardo roofing. I have found Jose and crew to complete jobs as agreed to at competitive price, excellent work, as well as his communicating unknown additional roof needs that are found during project that are swiftly addressed. I feel I can trust job to get done correctly by Jose and his team."
