Our sales contact was (and still is) amazing, answered all my questions, and impressed me with his knowledge of the products and the company itself. The handoff to each project manager was smooth, we had folks come out in advance to measure and inspect the project area, on the day of each project manager visited the house and/or contacted us throughout the day to check on things and see if we had questions, and the workmen themselves were friendly and professional. We had a very minor warranty issue on the roof (a visible nail head) that I found after climbing up there myself, and they had their guy back the next day to fix it, which was excellent service and gave me a great deal of confidence about them honoring the warranty. "Unlike a couple of other business coordinators from competitors, Tar Heel Construction's coordinator, Brain, was not only courteous and approachable, but also patient and empathetic. He did not try to rush into pressured business dealings but, instead, spent quality time listening attentively to our needs and thoroughly inspecting our roof, before engaging us in a more informative discussion about our project. Brian was careful to solicit answers to questions that aligned with our goals, so that he could show and explain relevant options for us to choose from. His knowledge of our roofing problems, along with his unexaggerated estimates and forthrightness gained our trust and we decided to choose him and Tar Heel Construction for the first phase of our project, which was to repair our roof's "dead valley" area. "The guys were very professional and polite, they did a great job. This is the second time we have used them and we would definitely hire them again. They replaced the missing shingles, checked the entire roof, flashings, pipe sealants, and ridge vents. They sealed everything that needed touched up. They also cleaned and tightened up the gutters and downspouts. Once they were done they made sure everything was cleaned up behind them."

"I hired Walter Howard to renovate the master bathroom.  He was professional in every respect from the initial estimate to final completion of the job.   The job required removal and replacement of shower, toilet, sink, cabinets, and all fixtures; installation on new lighting, ceiling fan, new GFCI, tile floor and trim and new paint.  He and his team arrived promptly, did their work in a competent and confident manner and ensured the job site was clean before they left for the day.  He completed the job on-time and on budget, and my wife is delighted with the results.  I was so pleased with the work he did on this project, that I hired him to do our hall bathroom.  If you are looking for an experienced, reliable and high quality contractor, I strongly recommend Walter's Home Improvement.  His prices are reasonable and the work is first rate.

"I had my roof replaced by Peak Custom Remodeling in November of 2020, and they did an outstanding job. The salesman who came to my home initially was knowledgeable and professional. He explained the exact benefits of the product he was selling and of using their company without applying any pressure. The roofers themselves were efficient and professional. They showed up early and had my roof completed within about a half day. I had asked ahead of time that the company tell their roofers to please be extra careful about picking up degree such as nails. I am blind, and I would have trouble seeing that kind of thing. I was told they would make an extra pass. They did an outstanding job on that too; I haven't found a single nail or other debree in my yard. Finally, the manager who called to enquire whether I was happy with the work was friendly and interested in whether I was completely satisfied, as was the gentlemen who came out to do the final inspection of the work. IN addition to doing a good job on the work itself, this company went the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied as a customer. They did the extra cleanup pass as I mentioned. They also did several other little things that, while not strictly required, made a big difference to me as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. Over all, I highly recommend this company if you are in the market for a new roof."
