"I noticed some fallen shingles on the ground around 2pm and looked at my roof and saw I was missing ridge cap shingles. When I went to the attic to check, there was a hole straight through my roof, and of course tomorrow we are getting major weather with lots of rain and wind. As heights are not for me, I frantically searched internet for repair for that afternoon with very little hope. I sent a request through homeadvisor, and got a can of foam insulation ready to go into the attic to at least fill the holes in case I didn't hear back in time. Low and behold, I get a call from Roger saying he could come by TODAY! I put down the can of foam, closed the attic and couldnâ t believe we would have repair service day of. I figured it would be very expensive but I was wrong. Roger came 15 minutes before sunset, masked-up and very friendly and professional. He set up his ladder and lights and was up on the roof fixing ridge cap very quickly. He ended up finding more issues while up there and he repaired those as well. He was up on the roof in the dark. Could not believe it but he was very comfortable up there. While on the roof we got to talking and we also needed some interior trim around front door fixed, and while he was here he ended up replacing the entire door frame as I had material on hand. Roger may be the best gem I have found on Cape for contractors. Hard working, honest, so fast, and reasonably priced. He could have raked us over the coals because was before a storm but he didnâ t. I will be using Byam Construction for any and all needs and will recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors. I strongly recommend Roger for any carpentry & roofing needs."

"The entire job from start to finish took three months... not bad for a hundred year old house. Plumbing and electric work was very reliable. They also have a very talented woodworker who was able to reuse much of the original wood to repair a window sill, trim, and baseboard. Whenever we had any concerns they were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. They also had a beautiful selection of cabinets and granite counter tops to choose from. We would absolutely use them again. Very happy with the outcome."

"Pierre Construction demo'd an existing porch and replaced it with a covered farmers porch, removed an existing exterior door and replaced with a picture window, replaced 8 double hung windows, and resided our home, and we can't speak any more highly of Dave and his crew. "We hired Durable Remodeling to build a brand new front porch on our house, and it came out beautifully. We have a 120-year-old Colonial house, which is in good shape, except that the front portico and a side entrance were both falling apart. Dean gave us several different ideas about how we could replace or repair them, and he encouraged us to think creatively about what we want. We decided to add a large farmer's porch to the front of our house and redesign the side entrance. Dean designed both beautifully, and the entire Durable Remodeling crew worked fast, efficiently, and carefully. Throughout the entire project, it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. "I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

"Yes the work was done. The two guys that came put in 7 windows and two big bay windows in one day. They did not even taken a break. They cleaned up the small pieces of scrap. Then one week later they came back and put in two new doors with the same professionalism when they did my doors."
