"We wanted to have our bathroom remodeled, so we called about 10-12 different vendors to give us bids for the project. Eric Vanderlip was the first to respond to my email, and came out to see the bathroom within a day. His responsiveness and professionalism really made a strong impression that he was a punctual guy who took business and clients seriously. After collecting about 6 bids for the project, we chose Eric Vanderlip for a few main reasons: 1. He was the most professional of the vendors 2. He was punctual and timely 3. He was courteous and polite 4. He gave us the impression that we would be treated like VIPs when working with him. His price bid came in around the high end, similar to what some of the more big-name brand companies in the area bid for the project. But Eric assured us that he personally would be on site every day during the project, working with us closely every step of the way to bring to life our dream vision of the new bathroom. And we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Over the course of 5 weeks, Eric completed the bathroom remodel, and it looks absolutely incredible. His attention to detail is next-level; he hand-picked exact pieces of tile to make them flow like a painting on the bathroom walls. When we had decisions to make about aesthetic issues, he was always happy to provide his expert advice and opinion. And we appreciated his advice considering he's done around 500 bathroom remodels, so he knows what looks good. He was available day and night, at any time, via text, phone, or email. It really felt like the VIP, red carpet treatment that we hoped for. He was punctual every day, communicated transparently about pricing and costs, and talked with us daily about options we were considering. He carefully protected all the flooring and stairs between the front door and the upstairs bathroom so that it wouldn't get dinged or dirty during the job. He helped us pick new marble countertops, ordered new doors, painted them, and even painted the walls for us. I don't think there's anything he CAN'T do. We are SO happy we found Eric Vanderlip, and we'll absolutely be working with him again when it's time for the next project. If I could give him a 12 out of 10, I would!"

"Jesus at Above and and Beyond Painting and Remodeling is absolutely wonderful. Jesus came to my condo for a bathroom redo but I was so impressed with him I had him redo my entire condo. I can’t speak highly enough of Jesus, Rolando who works for Jesus and the vendors Jesus works with. Jesus transformed my plain kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities beautifully that they look like brand new high end cabinets. The new flat stock baseboards and trim Jesus installed really modernized my condo. Rolando did an immaculate job of painting my new door molding, baseboards, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and doors. Jesus’ quartz countertop vendor did an amazing job and his tile vendors did a wonderful job on my entryway tile, bathtub surround and my fireplace. Jesus is great at listening to exactly what you want and coordinating vendors so your renovation keeps moving along. Throughout the process I kept adding more and more items and Jesus was always accommodating. If you want a contractor that is highly responsive, honest, keeps things moving along, that wants to make sure you are absolutely satisfied with the work done and that is just a great person to work with, then Jesus is who you need to complete your home project. "We highly recommend Paul Haugen Construction company. Their work was excellent. Everyone at the company proven to be helpful, skillful, reliable and knowledgeable. They worked with us on tile selection and layout and with all our questions. The installation crew members were friendly, very considerate and accommodating during the long project. They worked with our schedules and needs. They even brought in and set up our TV early so we didn’t have to wait until the project was completely done to watch TV. We also trusted them enough to leave them to work on the project while we left for a beach vacation. They worked for us on a bathroom remodeling project that included building a new shower in our previous house. It was so successfully that we hired them later to do a large 1700 sq ft tiling project in our new home. The project included installing heating elements under the tile, laying new tile, installing trim and some wall modifications. We would definitely hire them for a future project."

"Overall the project went very well. We interviewed 5 different contractors and picked Vic because we liked his price, we liked the fact that he was going to do most of the work himself, and we felt that we could work with him. The project was supposed to be done in about a month, and ended up taking close to 2 months. Part of the delay was materials and the plumber, and a few days were lost because of surgery and a previously scheduled vacation, but ultimately we did get the bathroom and tub room we had hoped for. Although we were originally considering luxury vinyl, Vic did steer us toward tile. He did an excellent job of installing the tile on the floor and around the new tub, and it all looks beautiful. He also did several small things at the end of the project (such as replacing towel bars in another bathroom, installing a curtain rods and a shade, and replacing an electrical outlet) at no cost."
