"<p>You know how relieved and happy you feel when you stumble across an excellent company with great employees when you have a weekend emergency and have to call whomever you can find that will respond? I do! I had an emergency and by chance called Favinger Plumbing to help me with a completely blocked sink drain on a weekend (I found their ad for 24 hour emergency plumbing service in an old phone book). </p> <p>The guy showed up when he said he would, fixed my problem (snaked the line, removed the clog), didn't try to gouge me, didn't leave a mess, was nice, polite, professional. Wow. Wake me up, I think I'm dreaming. I've lived here for ten years and haven't had that experience even once with a plumber on a regularly scheduled call, not to mention an emergency. And I have an old, money pit of a house. So, trust me, I've used several other companies, including the "commercial" guys who advertise all the time....you know who I'm talking about. </p> <p>Fast forward a couple of months. My dishwasher explodes all over the kitchen and floods everything at 3:00 am on a Sunday morning. I called Favinger again. Same thing. Showed up when he said he would, fixed the problem, didn't overcharge me, was nice, clean, professional. </p> <p>OK, I'm on to something here. So, I schedule him for a follow up regular call to fix all of the stuff I never get fixed because I can never find a plumber I like. And, voila! He comes back on time, fixes the stuff that he can, makes suggestions for the things that he can't fix that day, charges me a reasonable price, promises to email me back with ideas for resolving the other issues, is clean, professional, nice. And....he actually DID follow up with email for the stuff that needs to be followed up on! Now I just have to reschedule him. </p> <p>Is it possible to love a plumbing company? I think I do. And, I have to mention Travis by name as being such a pleasure to work with. I hope he's told very often how valuable an ambassador of the company he is. He's a gem. </p> <p>Bottom line, in all seriousness, this is a very good, reliable, and honest company. You should not hesitate to hire them. Highest recommendation.</p> <br />"

"Our front exterior water spigot broke off while we were out of town one evening, and the main water to the house had to be shut off until it was fixed. I appreciated how quickly Gary's Plumbing was able to respond, and that they didn't charge extra for the after-hours call out. The technician who came to my house assessed the situation quickly and was able to clearly explain and price out all of our available options and make a recommendation. (We were in the middle of Montana dealing with a flat tire at literally the same moment I was on the phone with him, so having someone who could be efficient in explaining and carrying out the work was a huge relief to us.) The price seemed a bit steep but I don't have anything to compare it to -- we obviously didn't have time to get multiple quotes; we needed to get the water to our house turned back on. We had used Gary's twice before at our previous house and were happy with their service, so price wasn't necessarily as import to me as the peace of mind of knowing that the issue would be handled."

"After initial contact through Rick Dubrow, Shawn became the project overseer and estimator, and stayed with our project from start to finish. Sharon, our designer has the ability to listen carefully to our requirements and suggestions, and distill them into a design that worked for us. Mike, as our on-site project manager, went out of his way to ensure that the work caused us as little inconvenience as possible. And given that the work took place in three parts of the house -- master bath, kitchen, and laundry, often at the same time -- that was no mean feat. The subcontractors were obviously very carefully chosen, and they all gave us what we wanted, not what might have been easier for them. Communications via email and phone were excellent, and the final cost estimate came in very close to the actual final cost. There were no surprises. We are very happy with the results of the remodel, we have recommended A1Builders/Adaptations Design Studio to friends, and we will use them again for our next project."

"Both Ben and Jake came out to install toilet, I was told they had to drill holes to anchor the toilet and that it would do no harm to the radiant heat I have in the floors. All went really well. two days later Jake came out and installed my garbage disposal and faucet after I had new countertops installed. I'm very pleased with the jobs performed. Will use them again when needed, and will recommend them for anyone looking for experienced professional and detail oriented plumbers. <br />"

"Excellent. The project progressed smoothly over the course of a full day. Even so, our home was never without a water supply for more than short periods of time due to the well-thought out coordination of installation activities. Also, Matt worked with us to reduce the overall cost by allowing me to do some of the exterior digging and backfill associated with the new main shutoff valve. Admittedly, the cost was high but, in all fairness, we had a lot of work done. We felt the end cost was fair and pretty much as expected."

"Having the main sewer line from your house to the city line replaced can be pretty expensive and you want to have it done right. After having one business offer a very questionable and misleading quote, I took some advice from Best Rooters (another top notch business in Bellingham) and had Mike Peetoom and his crew come out and replace our line. He did this over Christmas holiday, ran into some significant obstacles that he quickly and professionally resolved, did a great job patching up things afterwards and came in slightly under budget. Mike was honest, forthcoming, hardworking and never once did I not understand what was going on. Absolute professional and the only company I would recommend to anyone needing sewer repair, excavation, drainage, demolition or any of the services he provides. I could not be happier! <br />"
