"A few years ago, we purchased a home that had been partially flipped. Over the first several months that we lived in the home, we found that the previous owners had intentionally attempted to cover up many water issues in the basement and crawlspace. He reviewed the water infiltration into both craw spaces and explained that because of a wrap around deck preventing digging a perimeter drain on the outside the best solution was a new sump pit at the furnace crawl space and better one at the existing pit area.
