"Very happy with choosing Gunner for my project. Re-sided my home, installed new windows and replaced the garage roof. They were detailed, professional, and highly responsive."

"Technician was very professional and candid, but would not repair leak without installing an in-line valve due to liability issues. Quote for installing a valve ($600) was too high for me, so with technician's feedback/advice I decided to cap the line later myself at the T-junction in the basement (rather than installing a valve) since we don't actually use the fireplace gas line. I was disappointed that technician didn't do such a simple thing as capping the line himself for the service call fee, and maybe he would have capped it if he had the right sized cap on hand, but wasn't worth paying him to go get just a cap and return to install it at $80+/hr. Still, he was at our place for nearly an hour investigating the issue and discussing options, so at least we had his full attention and honest, informed opinion."

"I sent Mr. Long a text regarding what I thought was a leak in the roof somewhere in the vicinity of the chimney. He went to my house and based on his assessment, suggested that I have the chimney flashing and some roof shingles replaced.  He gave me an estimate for the work and a five year warranty.  I texted him and told him that I wanted him to do the work.  I happened to be home when Mr. Long came to my house to perform the work.  I invited him inside to show him where the water was coming in.  After seeing the inside, he said that I probably didn't have a roof leak at all since none of the drywall was wet, especially after all the rain we had just had from Tropical Storm Colin, but maybe the chimney cap needed to be replaced.  He said he would get on the roof and take a look.  After coming down, he showed me where it appeared that the chimney cap was not down far enough on the chimney.  He adjusted the chimney cap.  When I asked him how much I owed him, he said to give him whatever I thought was fair.  I took into account the two trips he made to my house and the fact that he did not take advantage of me and do a repair that I did not need.  I also took into account that it was less than a week from the time that I first contacted him to the time that he did the work.  I was so grateful for his willingness to come out to my house, which was a pretty good distance for him, and his integrity for not performing work that I did not need. When I paid him, he actually asked me if I thought I should give him that much.  I told him that I did think it was fair considering the two trips he made and for the value of his time and integrity.  "

"the installers were reasonably punctual on the date they installed the insert. completed the job quickly and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. laid down protective mats on our carpet so the dirt wouldn't get on the carpet. had i submitted the review immediately after the work was done, i would have given them an A+++, but we started to have problems within a month of the work being done. First we started having water leakage around our fireplace (inside the house). when i called Sisson's about it, they told me it wasn't their work that caused the leakage but a cracked chimney cap. First it wasn't leaking before they did the work and second, why didn't they inform us of the problem with the chimney cap? Also, a year later, i had some other work done on our chimney that Sisson's couldn't do and discovered that Sisson's hadn't done a complete job before installing the chimney liner and therefore, i had to spend significantly more money on the chimney repair than i might have had to spend if they had really been a good contractor. <br /> I believe when a homeowner hires a contractor to do some work, the homeowner should be able to trust the contractor to advise and recommend all the work that is important to be done so there aren't problems later that could have been prevented. Sisson's isn't a full service fireplace insert installer because they don't do masonry work and therefore chooses not to inform the customer of problems that they cannot fix. <br />"

"Always provides excellent service and gives a lot of information on proper use. Is very neat and careful while working and always leaves the area clean when finished. Is a very pleasant person.; Is always quick to respond for service. They also were the service who installed the stove almost 6 years ago and did an excellent job ! I did have other chimney/ masonry contractors come out to my home prior and received poor quality work. Since using Stone Mountain Masonry I will not call anyone else. <br /> <br />"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair.  The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. <br /> Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. <br /> I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. <br /> WRS <br /> <br />"
