"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. "We have used Ray's Heating and Air Conditioning for two seasons to inspect and perform general maintenance of our furnace and air conditioning units. We feel that their service price is fair, and they are able to come in a timely manner. We have found them to be honest in their evaluation and inspection of our heating and cooling units. Although one of our AC units is old and our furnace is also near the tail end of its lifespan, they have not pressured us into the purchase of a new unit. Ray's provided us with a price estimate so that we know what to expect when the time comes, but has never made us feel that we need to replace it until it really becomes necessary."

"Chambers Services is the company contracted to do warranty work by our local Lowe's. The ladies that did the scheduling in the office were very professional and gave us a date with am or pm service times available. Our tech, Scott, was personable and extremely conscious of keeping the work area tidy. He called about an hour prior to his arrival. He covered his shoes with disposable covers upon entering our home, and placed a mat in his work area to avoid scratching or marring the hardwood floors. Parts had to be ordered, and his return visits were handled in the same professional manner. He answered all my questions about the repair, and I would definitely recommend this company and this tech for future repair work. I've had other techs from other repair services stomp through the house with muddy shoes, scratch our floors, and leave the debris clean-up for me to do. Scott was so conscious of these issues and treated my home like it was his. Good job!"

"From the time I first spoke with them at the Home Show, held at U.S. Cellular Center, I was impressed with them.  I took their business card and told them I had been thinking of having this work done for a long time, and still had not decided.  My wife and I finally decided to have the generator installed.  I called Popejoy, and two other companies, asking for estimates.  Popejoy's salesman met with us at our home, asked lots of questions, took pictures, and gave a general idea of the costs involved.  He said he would take all the info and work up an estimate.  Within a week, as he promised, he called us with an estimate.  I told him I was getting more estimates and he said he understood that it was a big decision, and to call him with my decision.  I was really impressed with his knowledge, and his personality.  After speaking with the other companies sales people, and getting their quotes, we decided to give the work to Popejoy.  They sent a tech to do some preliminary work on our two AC units, installing "soft starts".  This did not take but about an hour.  He also was  very professional, polite, and friendly.  The day prior to doing the big job, a Popejoy rep called and asked if the next day would be agreeable to us for doing the installation.  We agreed, and he said they would be at our house at 8 a.m.  At 7:45 the next morning they were ringing our doorbell,  Two young men, brothers as it happens, were here to do the work.  I was totally impressed with their work ethic, their manners, and how efficiently they went about their work.  At 12:25 p.m., the job was done, and they were driving away.  I was so impressed from the first meeting with the salesman, to the installation of the generator, that I wrote a letter to the company owner, telling him so.  And I am not easily satisfied.  I have a reputation, good or bad, of being a perfectionist.  Popejoy delivered!"
