"We had contacted Mark from Bulldog Builders for a quote on a roof replacement. Mark came out in a very reasonable amount of time, was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional. Took dimensions of roof and gave us a quote on job. We decided to go with Bulldog builders for this work and a are very pleaded we did. All Materials were ordered and the crew arrived on time and did a outstanding job. Mark then called to make sure we were happy with the work done, I would recommend Bulldog Builders to anyone!!! "No clean up - the clean up is failing, the communication wasn't good. I never heard of a company that doesn't provide you with an invoice or give you something stating that it was paid in full. They didn't even offer to send a receipt. They told me they don't send invoices when I requested one. You have to babysit their crew. Customer pays the price for the job because you can't communicate since they don't speak English. Communication failed."

"He was very honest and upfront and said may be 6-8 weeks before could do the roof when awarded work as was very busy. After calling on 10/2 to get update on when might do he ended up being able to do it yesterday or less than 4 weeks. I was very impressed they did job for price and in one day with full tear off finding no nails or anything left laying on ground. He is very honest person with hard working crew and was less expensive than anyone else. I could tell right away he was honest person which is so very important when getting work done on your home. The overall quality of his work is very....very..... good for a very fair price. You might find another roofing company that may get graded excellent on overall quality but you will also be paying three to five thousand dollars more for this same job."

"I had some minor roof damage from a falling tree.  Tom came out within a day or two of my calling for an estimate.  He was professional, gave me several options on how to go about repairing it from simple to more extensive. I didn't feel he was trying to up-sell me to the more extensive options.  He took time to help me get spare shingles down from my garage attic to see if there were enough to do the job.  After getting quotes from a couple of other roofers, I called Tom to come do the work.  He said he would be out by the end of the following week to do the work.  Since he tucked in some shingles to temporarily keep the roof dry I wasn't too worried about the week delay. 

The following Wednesday I called to let Tom know that we were having our driveway seal coated on Friday so he probably shouldn't come that day.  The women on the phone was polite and said thanks for letting them know.

That is the last I heard from them.  By the end of the following week I called and left a message, but got no response.  Over the next several days I called 2-3 more times and left  messages, none of which were returned.

Hopefully there was not some family emergency that prevented Tom from calling back, but I am a bit surprised that his professionalism at the beginning dropped off to nothing in the end.

I ended up hiring one of the other roofers to do the work.
