"We strongly recommend Schultze Painting. Steve was very professional. He came over to our townhome and viewed what we wanted done. He gave us a written bid on what the project would cost and a timeline of when the project would be completed. His cost was very reasonable. He provided all the paint and supplies needed. He always took special care of the property and always cleaned up after himself. He completed the project on budget and on time. It was a pleasure to work with Steve and we would be happy to use his services again."

"Here is a revised version with improved flow, clarity, and a professional tone while still sounding genuine: I am extremely happy with the results of our painting project. Jose completed the work on time, was very professional, and managed the entire project extremely well. We asked a lot of him within a short timeframe, and he handled everything efficiently and without hesitation. Our home looks amazing—honestly even better than we expected. We also ran into an unexpected issue with the ceiling, and Jose quickly coordinated the additional work and made sure it was completed promptly. The finished result looks great. I truly appreciate Jose and his team for their excellent work and attention to detail. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and talented painting team."

"The people at Classic Finishes were professional and flexible. I had a short time frame to get my new home painted after the closing, but before moving in, and the were able to accommodate that. They were friendly and helpful, and their work was not only quick, but more importantly, it was very well done! I couldnâ t be happier!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Forest Lake, MN

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
