"Two techs arrived on-time. The work was done quickly and efficiently. They explained what they were doing and the cost. It was a very tidy job. All the ash was gone from the fireplaces and not a spot in the house. The Company also recommended that I should have chimney caps installed, which I will be calling them back for."

"Pete and crew installed a new roof on our home in Auburn in 2008. It's now January 2020. Recently, I found a slow leak around the skylight they installed in my garage. After emailing Pete he was out the next business day to patch the leak. While here he noticed that the ridge vent that they installed in 2008 was an older style that could possibly let in rain if it was blowing real hard. His crew was out the next day and they replaced the entire ridge vent over 4 hours with snow on my roof. The leak repair, attic inspection and ridge vent replacement was all done at no cost to me even though the 10 year warranty expired over a year ago. Now that's what I call customer service! Thank you Horizon Roofing."

"Everything went well. Andrew, the Chimcare professional who came out, was great. He inspected my chimney. He showed me pictures of the chimney problem areas and explained how the moisture got into the chimney. He told me I didn't need a sweep. To eliminate the moisture problem he suggested I get some needed repairs, have chimney caps installed, and have water repellent applied. After receiving an estimate for the needed work I had the job scheduled."

"My first contact with the technician from POWERS was just to look into the subject of getting chimney caps, because I was having problems with moisture damage inside my house on that south-facing wall. I spoke to the guys who did a full tear-down and rebuild of my roof a few years ago (A Better Roofing Company), and they did a FREE inspection of the roof and determined that it was intact and that the likely cause of my problem was rain saturating the inside of my chimney and migrating into that south wall near the chimney. A Better Roofing Company does not offer chimney caps, so I checked the reviews on Angie's List and decided to call POWERS. I was scheduled for just two days following my call, which pleased me greatly.

On the appointed day the POWERS technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional and friendly, and went up on my roof to take measurements. When he came down he told me my chimney had two flues and that they were a standard size, AND that he had them in his truck and could install them right now if I wished. I agreed, and within a half hour my chimney caps were installed. As I looked at the new chimney caps I mentioned that my brick wall was a bit past due for an application of brick sealer, and the technician told me that POWERS could do that for me too! He took some measurements of my south wall and gave me an estimate. I agreed, and about a week later my sealant was applied.

I am DELIGHTED! Typically I have bad luck finding competent, honest help who have a sense of urgency about getting the job done RIGHT the FIRST time. Thanks to Angie's List and POWERS CHIMNEY & MASONRY, my luck may be changing!

"

"I wanted to replace my 37 yr old cement tile roof with something a lot more appropriate for this area. I got 4 estimates and while North Creek was not the cheapest, it was $4,000 and $8,000 less than 2 of the other bids. The estimator I worked with, Evan, was very knowledgeable about all of the aspects of replacing an old tile roof with new shingles. He told me they would be able to trim down the old fascia rather than replacing it and the existing rain gutters would work fine (1 estimate said the gutters would have to be replaced and 1 said all of the fascia and the gutters would have to be replaced). He also accurately addressed the need for additional intake ventilation to match the new ridge vent that would be installed (almost 1000 additional square inches was needed - 1 company proposed adding 300 while another was not going to add any). Without adequate ventilation moisture can build up in the attic which leads to mold. The project was very well organized and professional from start to finish. The job began on time. The delivery and removal of the giant skips to haul away the old tile and construction debris proceeded like clockwork. The plywood and the new shingles were delivered and ready to go when the crew needed them. The city inspection permit was on-site at the start and the inspector showed up on the last day to sign off on it. The actual roofing crew was amazing. They worked practically non-stop for 2 very long days. Two hours of cleanup on the third day and the job was finished. Jacinto (?) came out the next day to pick up excess materials and do a final inspection of the roof. He also brought black paint to touch up a piece of flashing which was distracting because it was silver. The work was exceptional and I would recommend this company to anyone."

"Our roofing contractor was concerned about leaks through the brick and mortar. I called Chris Arndt Masonry & Chimney Restoration and was pleasantly surprised. The owner Chris Arndt came to the house just 45 minutes after I made the inquiry. He advised me that the brick, mortar, and even the firebox are in very good shape and will last many more years and that all I need is to put a new concrete cap on the chimney then clean and put a water sealant on it. He told me I can actually do all of this work myself and save money on it. Don't get that kind of help very often."
