"I would highly recommend Nathan. He was very professional and helpful over the phone. I'm in the twin cities and I had him work on my 3-season cabin up north. I felt confident in his ability and trusted him with the project. He called me when he came across small issues and we discussed things before he proceeded. He finished close to the quoted amount, even with me adding additional items to be completed. Thank you Nathan! I'll be calling him for future electrical projects at the cabin."

"The only model thermostat they offered was high priced ( $350 plus installation or $453 total), High tech, WiFi link to smartphone, programmable. I told him I wanted a simpler model and was told the only other option was more complicated and more expensive and that "this is how thermostats are now". I told him I was upset, but had no other options. I now know this was 'extortion' , since other simpler models are still available and would have been better suited to this senior citizen. A furnace cleaning the same month prompted a list of things I should buy despite the furnace passing it's tests.....be prepared for a sales pitch. They did come promptly and were polite. I will not hire them again."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Fort Ripley, MN

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
