Michael's assessment and quote recommended cut-in to the side of the tub, but it was unclear if this would have given him enough access for the repair. We were fearful that the initial effort would have quickly escalated into more work. We also were distrustful of a company that charges line item warranties for their own service (i.e. 6 months vs. 1 year vs. 2 years) and does it's scheduling and quoting from an electronic tablet with nothing in writing on the front end. We subsequently were able to make this repair on our own and avoided the expense - which likely would have ratcheted up to over $1200."
