"<p>While he was at the home (to do my deck) he showed me where my upper deck was coming away from my house. The deck was literally hanging from a thread to the home. I really think he may have saved our lives. My deck also needed to be painted, I did that job with MUCH help from him. (Not easy to spay Behr Deck over.) I replaced many of the nails with deck screws, his advice. I really think he did a lot of the work (remember he was there to do the tile) He also secured the deck with new 4x4 and jacked the deck up and reattached it to the home. (Did I mention this was a 2nd floor deck and water was coming in behind the deck into the 1st floor wall----this has been repaired)</p> <p>One more miracle this man accomplished...my A/C TRANE quit running and he was the first to notice it that early Saturday Morning, just  in time for me to get to Tractor Supply to get the correct part to fix it and he took the time to wash all the Cottonwood and grass that build up on the coils. I do wash the A/C units out in the early spring. He did teach me that since I have all those trees I should probably do that more than once a year and the coil cleaner in a can stuff does make a difference. </p> <p>I did pay him an extra $200 for the work and would had paid more. I think he forgot about the A/C day so I should give him $50 more.</p> <p>I guess this review makes me sound like a lazy dumb home owner, I thought I really took good care of my home, I guess I do need help. "Estimate was based on a home visit that included measurements and pictures. A computer generated detailed estimate was provided that included the dimensions and general materials stated during the home visit. This was not the lowest price estimate, but it was the estimate that most accurately depicted the work we had asked for during the three home visits from contractors., <br /> <br /> After making the decision to go with Brooks, we met at a home improvement store to select tile, shower head and controls, and wall/door. It was stated that the glass wall could not be ordered until the tile was in place, based on precision measurements required. A start date was agreed upon and a contract was signed by both parties. No money was asked for up front, complete payment was due after the project was completed. <br /> <br /> Work did not start on the agreed to date due to illness of Brooks. We re-set the date and began the following week. The demolition went quick. The plumbing work was completed in one day and plugged, so the water supply was available to the rest of the house. As explained during the estimate visit, the new wallboard, shower pan, tiling on the floor and ceiling were done incrementally to ensure all adhesives cured properly. Each day the path from the front door to the work area was swept or vacuumed, trash removed; and work tools stacked neatly. <br />   <br /> The shower was ready for use with a temporary shower curtain while we had company for the holidays. The wall took about 2+ weeks to arrive at the Home Improvement store. After the wall/door was installed, Brooks came out to collect payment. The only issue to be fixed was the shower handle was a little loose, which was fixed on the spot. <br /> <br /> Overall a very good experience. We gave access to our house without us at home. Brooks had a trailer with tools, left tools here for days at a time and had not been paid any money--we assumed they had more to lose than us. We did safeguards for the satellite and internet services."

"They were very professional, helpful and responsive in answering questions and giving us a quote. In the end, we decided not to repair the countertop and sink but replace it entirely. as the previous owner installed it and it no longer fit our decor. Even though we didn't use them to make the repairs, we were very impressed with their customer service."

He fixed the main leaks so that I could turn water back on into house on 3 July.
