"I hired them because my husband I thought they were reasonable. They were supposed to start on a Friday. They said they would be there at 9:00 am. They called at 8:50 and said they would be late! They were supposed to paint the bathrooms. They painted the bathroom which took ALL DAY! The painting was shoddy at best!. They (Paul and Janelle) did not cover anything and painted on the ceiling and towel racks! I said something about it and the response was we will touch it up Monday. Monday came and NO ONE showed up! I called/emailed said they would be back on Tuesday! On Tuesday no one showed up again! I called again! The guy had an appointment but I did not get a call saying so. On Wednesday 3 guys showed up and did the flooring! They were great! They got my flooring done in 1 day! The only problem was in the bathroom near the tub, which needed to be fixed. We were told that Paul would fix it. Paul was supposed to come on Monday. He was a no show on Monday. I called again, no response. Paul came on Tuesday and finished the tub. Another thing I did not like about this company they did not provide a contract. The response was oh I forgot. The one they provided had no detail. It did not show what I paid and how I paid it. They also did not provide receipts for the money I paid. I still have not received a receipt for the money I spent! I do not know if this is a general practice but I don't think it is! I just want to be treated fairly like everyone else! The fact that I am African-American should not make a difference! I am a paying customer and therefore should be treated as such! I am telling everyone I know about their service. I am also putting this on Facebook! Do Not use Southern Surfaces in Savannah!! I am requesting a refund for some of the paintings. Also a receipt and detailed contract. Someone needs to get in touch with me asap!!"
