"This afternoon I discovered that water was flowing out the bottom of my >20 year old water heater.  I called around and finally found Gerald from AAAA who said he'd come and take a look as soon as he finished the job he was on.  He patiently talked me through shutting all the water off to the heater so it wouldn't cause any major damage before he got there.  Once he arrived, he discovered the bottom had pretty much rusted through and I needed a new one. He also noticed that the plumbing hookup wasn't optimal and fixed that.   He provided me several options for a new heater and actually installed a new one this evening.  I expected to go without hot water tonight and to have him come back tomorrow, but he said he hates to leave people without hot water  (Gotta love this guy).  He didn't finish until 7:30 tonight, but I will not be going to bed without a hot shower!
