"It did not go well. They now will not reseal my driveway in the future and provide a warranty. They now will only offer a decorative sealing job. Who offers a decorative asphalt sealing job? I believe they are upset about covering my driveway under warranty one time so now they will offer no warranty for the future. So the point here is once you claim a warranty, all future work is not covered. They did my neighbors across the street with a warranty.... so go figure. Apparently they have double standards pending if you filed a previous warranty claim."

"Well, after payment through Angie's List, an email was sent out promptly. After original assessment, I received an email regarding what date would be good to do work. They came out as promised, and did the sealing as indicated, but because I had cracks as well as areas where asphalt was needed to be filled in, I feel I should have been consulted whether I was willing to pay the additional cost to do any additional work that was needed, that didn't happen. They also left the bucket which held the tar on the neighbors property, which I found embarrassing as well as disrespectful to my neighbor. I emailed them after the job to voice my concerns and haven't had a response yet which has been a few days to date. So at this point I'm torn. They did precisely and exactly what they specified. No more and no less! For price I give a "D" only because my driveway is less than 300 ft. and only tar was poured and spreaded it appears."

"We are so happy we hired Dennis for our job! It started as a simple quote for removing some excess dirt we had, and he pointed out we "might as well put him to work while he's there". As a next step in our project, we also needed an area churned up/tilled. He showed up with a dump truck and his skid steer. Once he was done hauling the dirt away, he worked for about another half hour churning up the remaining area with his skid steer - he clearly has a lot of experience!! He was working the machine like it was an extension of his hands, went right up to our fence, landscaping rocks, and bushes, and never touched any of them. Very high quality and experienced work, definitely recommend him! We'll be hiring him again for our next project."

"We left provider and voice mail and next day we had price quote at our mailbox. We called them to schedule an appointment. It took about 2 weeks to schedule , but work was done fast and in time. They treated the fractures in the asphalt on our driveway and seal-coat it. They put a fence to prevent cars get into the driveway. We did found couple of defects in the coating later, called the provider and they fixed it next day. Satisfied overall. <br />"

"WOW!  What a GREAT Company!  <br /> <br />Recently I contracted Suburban Asphalt Co., Inc. to reseal a 14,000 square foot residential asphalt drive-way.  They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price and merit a high recommendation for that alone.  Shortly after my job was completed, however, a visitor's automobile leaked a considerable amount of engine oil on my freshly finished surface.  To make matters much worse, the car's tires ran over the pool of oil and tracked it for more than 100 feet up the drive.  Every few feet there was a tire track.  My problems were only beginning, however.  I decided to use a liquid product for removing oil from asphalt...unfortunately it removed the black seal as well.  Now having a major problem, I phoned Josh at Suburban Asphalt in order to enquire if there was a product that I could purchase to "paint" over the many stains.  He immediately informed me that he would send out a technician to repair the problem...AT NO CHARGE!  I still am overwhelmed and truly appreciative of that incredible level of customer service! <br /> <br />Before retiring I was the CEO of a service company with hundreds of thousands Wisconsin clients so I believe that I know and can appreciate customer care.  Suburban Asphalt Company, Inc., exemplifies the highest standard of customer satisfaction and professional excellence...they should be highly congratulated! <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />William C. "I had done the prep work for a 10x12 concrete slab and needed a contractor to pour and finish.  It was a busy season due to unpredictable weather, and I had a difficult time finding a contractor willing to do the job when I needed it done.  Fortunately, I found Tom Schmidt on Angie's List.  He returned my call promptly and within a few days, Tom, his son Matt and his crew completed the job to perfection. They cleaned up everything and did not leave so much a a crumb of concrete outside of the slab. <br />  Tom also gave me a lot of advice on the selection of concrete, time to cure, and other useful information based on my intended use. It is nice to find a contractor these days willing to take the time to educate the customer. Also, the entire crew were pleasant and professional. <br /> If you need concrete work done right, look no further. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Franklin, WI

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
