"Joshua was very prompt and communicative. He refuted the issue we brought him out to repair, identified the correct problem and repaired the door. We then had another issue with our front lock and he fixed the tumbler and provided additional non=duplicating keys. Both of these problems had been “repaired” by other locksmiths. "Jose Rodriguez was a basic carpenter. He used up 1/2 hour purchasing materials and I had to go with him to pay for them rather than reimburse him for the items. He had to pay him for the rest of the work which ended up costing over $300 for basic work that any handyman could have done. He left the wooden beam support with bracing and could not return until two days later and I was concerned that my large dog might get injured if she moved this. He left a heavy 2 foot 4x4 in my basement near the air conditioner; he also left the rotted roof support beam on my property which I had to dispose of. I kept the unused and cut wood that was purchased as I could cut it and re-use it elsewhere. I recently hired a real carpenter for replacement of my shed doors and he was a true skilled professional who came to my house and measured the wood needed and hardware and purchased the materials and had an assistant to help him do the work which was an excellent job. Quite a difference. Had I known I would have hired him to do the other work done previously and the cost for his work was at a much better price than the Angie's List "pro". No more Angie's List pros for me. Wherever do you find them and how do they get an A rating?"

"AJ did a great job! The first time he came out he handled an issue related to our basement outlets, and an issue with our garage light. At the time he gave us estimates for ceiling fans and a brand new garage light fixture. We decided not to get the garage fixture because we needed to get a new garage door opener and the light functionality on that works very well. So we went a head an asked him to install ceiling fans. At the last minute we asked for smoke/carbon monoxide alarms and AJ was very accommodating and told us the kind of fans to get. He provided the alarms which was helpful since we asked at the last minute. He installed everything and things are working great! I'd definitely give him a call again for any other electrical issues.

"Once again, AMS Home Remodeling, Frank, was able to clean up my mess.  After ordering a closet organizer unit online. I made the mistake of hiring another company to install the units - 3 total (2 reach in and 1 master).  This original company did not know what they were doing and caused me nothing but more problems (i.e. holes in walls, damaged pieces from closet unit that needed to be replaced, etc).  Frank was able to make time in his all ready busy schedule to come out to take a look at the mess.  He was able to get me into the schedule and complete the install and all repairs from previous contractors by the end of the week.  Frank and his crew (Bruno plus 1) did more than an outstanding job.  Final product is amazing.  I have used AMS Home Remodeling for a complete makeover in my home and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for an honest dependable contractor.  I absolutely LOVE these guys.

"I want to start off stating that I knew this was a complicated job due to the multiple locations needing to be addressed in different manners. Anthony was very accommodating, professional, and responsible. Even when Anthony had a medical reason to not be involved in managing, he was. The overall grade, however, would be a B-. I would still use them again and recommend their use.
At first, I thought I found our handymen for the rest of our projects. I told Anthony the issues in COMPLETENESS OF WORK with other contractors, and was assured there is no problem here.
My wife and I were told that the entire job would be completed in 3 days. I expected a week, but it ended up being 2 weeks and a day.  Communication was a challenge on both my end and theirs. There were times when I talked to Anthony about specifics and details that we had agreed on, but when the working crew came, there was a misunderstanding. For example, I wanted all doors to be painted semi-gloss white. When the job was done, I noticed the doors were only painted on the front (facing the hall). I was told that is what they usually do when painting doors, but I thought it was understood that painting the door is the entire door. A misunderstanding that was solved once it was brought up. We also had some issues in cabinet painting as the doors were closed before fully drying. When opened, paint was removed. This was brought up and was grossly resolved.
Here is a summary of the work:
Hardwood flooring-Looks great but had issues with the staining of the stair nose. This was corrected. They had to do a lot of work securing the sub-floor, which I thought meant silencing creaks. One creak was fixed and the other is right at the base of my stairwell. I was told this is due to the beams in my home, but they would check. I asked later about it as I still heard the noise and didn't notice anything to suggest the wood was taken up for the problem to be checked, but was told it was inspected and is the beam...
Painting in home-Walls and ceiling are great but doors and molding look like spots were missed.
Staining/painting of banisters-We have dark on top and bottom with white spindles. We had an issue with drying time and drip spots but was ultimately resolved. Looks great. Stains from banisters were noticed elsewhere in the house like on doors.
Kitchen cabinet-there was some back and forth with this because of the peeling of paint. Even when pointed out, not all was resolved. We also agreed to the painting and install of about 2 ft of crown molding on the top of a cabinet where it was missing, but this was not done.
The quality of work was ok, as I had to point out issues that needed to be resolved, and some were not. It got to the point where my wife and I were just ready to be finished with the entire process. Overall, the grade is a B- because of this and because the work was not as thorough as I had expected. Today I even went over some things that weren't fully completed and cleaning carpet from shoe stains.
 I reached out to Anthony for another job involving the installation of a pedestal sink, and painting plus installing shoe molding and 1/2 rounds. This is the powder room I had hardwood installed also, but when the sink/vanity was removed, some of the molding and rounds were not painted or installed on the sides after being told we were acquiring a pedestal sink for the room. I wanted to use Tony Touch again because I believe they have a great rep and maybe the communication was the predominant issue with my job. And he does work with you.
I just suggest being very detailed and descriptive when getting a quote for a job, ask questions, and inspect the work.
