"Working with Arthur and the Ballard Enterprises team was a great experience. They did an amazing job with the landscaping, cleanup, and retaining wall. I nearly cried because I haven't seen the outside of my home look decent in so long. :-) The brick for the retaining wall is beautiful and it seems to "brighten" the home. Ballard also did cleanup in my back area and WOW! It looks great and no more walking through tall weeds and mint to get to my deck. I appreciate Arthur teaching me about hostas. I'm not a gardener and know very little about plants and had no idea that was in my yard. And I thought this would take a couple of days but they completed everything in one day. "E&R had cleaned my cedar shake roof a few years ago so I was familiar with their work and thus called them again.  Timing was a little difficult b/c it was right before the holiday season and going into the colder season, but we were lucky with temperatures above normal for that time of year, and they were able to complete the work by early February.  It took about 3 visits.  We were very happy with the results; the roof is greatly improved in appearance and we are satisfied that it will hold up for another 2-3 years at which time we will have to consider replacing it.   We wanted to install gutter guards but our Sales Rep, Ed Maurath, advised us to wait until we replace the roof so we could coordinate the colors.  For a temporary fix, he suggested that we use the snap-in, inexpensive mesh guards that we picked up at Lowe's and the E&R crew installed for us free of charge.  A sensible & practical solution for now.  Since they were going to be on the roof, I asked about having chimney caps installed.  Ed suggested that my husband get those, which he did, and again his crew installed free of charge.  Perfect!  They also did a great job cleaning all the mold and mildew from the asphalt portion of the roof, which had never been cleaned and was really ugly.  All in all, a great improvement in the appearance of our house. Since I knew the quality of their work, I did not shop around for estimates, but I've learned that you pretty much get what you pay for. I think E&R is professional, skilled and knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

"They were great to work with - responsive over email (since it is difficult for either myself or my husband to do much talking on the phone during the work day) and came by to provide an estimate, got started, and then were done more quickly than I am used to.  They were also very kind to fix our mailbox which was falling over - without our asking, they went and filled the hole and righted the post.  I couldn't be more happy.
Our yard is sloped and the one corner where the patio ended, which was the lowest part seems to be sloping down a little more than the rest of the patio.  They suggested we keep an eye on it and let it settle.  There is a one-year warranty on the installation, so they promised that they will come by later after it's settled if it is still looking questionable.
