"The contractor was very professional and did an excellent job. I only had some old paint, so he went and got a new can of paint at the local home improvement store. My appointment was delayed a few days due to circumstances beyond their control, and they worked with me to reschedule the work on a day that would work for me. I would definitely hire them again."

"I'm using this company for the third time now, because i know I am always gonna feel that the money was well spent. The concrete steps were patched and refinished. It now looks like new. The contractor was even able re-grout our old bathroom, and fix up our old front door which was rotting for years now. Definitely will use again."

"We were quoted a price of $195 to re-install our existing mailbox on a new post that would look as much like our neighbors' as possible, and we double-checked to be sure that this price included all labor, parts, etc before proceeding. The mailbox was instead mounted on a much thicker, stronger post and we were charged $250. We don't dispute the quality of the work, which looks good (it is all 4x6 whereas everyone else on the block has 4x4). But we wish we had been consulted beforehand about the change in plans and the extra expense."

"Overall I was very happy. The finished product was great. Tim did a great job installing. Professional, clean, thorough and friendly. The sales rep was quite frustrating. From never stopping talking so he could listen, to never providing documented details for the project, to never completing drawings for his team, to having me have to Google to find what to buy. Or I'd tell him what I wanted and he often would tell me his wife is an interior decorator and she would suggest x, y or z - I had to keep telling him I didn't like or want her input (especially since she had never seen my place or talked to me). I literally had to create a floor plan so that Tim knew the job details - what walls were being painted what color, what walls got the new wall tile, what lights to buy, etc., etc., etc. The rep was nice but was completely unorganized - I had to do a lot of his job because he didn't. I finally got the owner involved as the rep was too frustrating to work with. The owner was very nice to work with. Any ratings I give that are below an A are due to my frustrations with the sales rep. Tim, the owner and the final product were great! Again, the final product - fantastic!"

"I had a 50-year-old house with a cinderblock basement wall that had water slowly coming through. I researched the various firms that did waterproofing and had three highly rated firms come out for an estimate. The first contractor didn’t even bring a flashlight and just looked around and said to keep an eye on it. The second gentlemen did provide detailed estimate and carefully explained the problem. Randy, the owner, from Chamberlin Washington provided a similar diagnosis and estimate. His estimate was not only a little less expensive but he looked at the entire house and found other things that could use some maintenance. This is what I liked about Randy – he looked at the whole house and discovered several smaller things that should be fixed to avoid issues down the road. These were all things I knew about already but I’m glad someone took the time to examine the entire house and not just the one issue I was having. We had then not only waterproof the outside wall but also fill the expansion joints in our patio and seal one basement window as well as re-point some mortar joints in the brink chimney. When the crew came they went to work. They also did an admirable job protecting our plants. An old section of of a 6' high stockade fence had to be removed and I bough a new section and the crew was happy to put that up. When they water tested the wall they found a small leak. They re-did the sealant and that did the trick. Randy came out and supervised critical parts of the job. He was great to work with and happily fixed a few small things at the end. Randy really cares about doing the job right. I am 100% pleased with the work they did. I watched over much of the repair and everything was done correct and by the book. Overall I can't say enough about how pleased I was with Chamberlin-Washington and their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone."

"If I could use only two words to describe Craig Kripas (owner) I would say trustworthiness and excellence. <br /> He and his workers (foreman Edmondo, and the other three) were hard working, honest, and did an incredible professional job for a fair price. They know their business, (Check out their website, it is educational, allowing you to read up and understand what Craig and crew are going to do to waterproof and make your home safe and healthy), and they do not cut corners on doing it correctly. <br /> I was married to a subcontractor for 18 years, and this is the first professional (Craig Kripas) whose work-ethic and excellence are comparable to my former husband's- who was without equal in his line of work: cabinetmaking and finish. <br /> BEFORE: Craig came and crawled through my crawlspace, took photos, uploaded them unto his laptop, and explained what needed to be done. He sent me an estimate that night via email. My crawlspace had cracks, leaking water, was moist, insulation was wet and falling down, the light plastic that the former owner had laid in the crawlspace was not taped at the seams, and had pools of water where the ground underneath it was not level. There was junk thrown in my crawlspace, no sumppump or electrical hook up, and mold. <br /> AFTER: Craig and crew were able to finish in 3 days, which was a window when the weather held out a little less than that time in early February. They  leveled the crawlspace ground, reinforced any floor supports that needed (in my 1938 bungalow), dug trenches and laid drain and installed the sump-pump, then went on to shovel and level rounded stone gravel (that does not puncture the 6 mil plastic overlay), to make it easy to crawl through. I went and inspected with Edmondo, and crawled through the crawl space. It was clean, dry, and even cozy, although a little clausterphobic for my taste. <br /> They dug window wells, and replaced the old ones, repaired the brick on the exterior around the window wells, repaired the brick around the entrance to the crawl space, built a new hinged hatch and installed it, graded the landscape so that the water ran away from my home, extended the downspouts, and probably a hundred other things that I didn't notice. <br /> OVERALL: I have never been more pleased with work done, as well as their polite, thoughtful approach. (I did not feel pressured in any way, Craig is soft-spoken, and explained and gave me choices on how he could fix the problem/ and costs per task, if I needed to do it in stages or only wanted to do the minimum).  <br /> Kraig Kripas and his crew are professional, trustworthy, do excellent work, and delivered beyond my expectations, which is a difficult thing to do. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"<p>Design of the project to be completed with a Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 installation was  coordinated with Land Art. The installation of the dogwood, drift roses, vibernum, red tip photinia, spotted laurel and butterfly bushes as well as the sod and bed prep was the scope of the fall project . Spring 2014 consisted of installation of several varieties of flowering perennials.</p> <p>We were disappointed with the size of the shrubs installed in the fall however, the dogwood was perfect. 2 of the drift roses upon arrival were damaged and we asked they be replaced , Land Art did not replace them and in the Spring we had to insist a replacement as the damaged roses did not survive the winter well. A spotted laurel and 2 of the red tips did not rebound in the spring and we waited until July for the laurel replacement and Land Art only agreed to one of the red tip replacements.</p> <p>Spring project actually began in May and carried through September should have been an easy complete in May.</p> <p>8 ivy planned only 5 installed in May remaining in September</p> <p>9 blackout hostas could not be installed as planned moved to different beds</p> <p>5 Fraces Williams hostas returned - could not be installed as planned $100 credit</p> <p>7 sweet tea hostas installed as planned- 1 died </p> <p>3 Echinacea berry installed as planned  - 1 died </p> <p>11 black eyed susans- installed as planned</p> <p>5 rosemary installed as planned - 1 is not thriving</p> <p>3 lavender, 9 Kalimeris blue star, 3 milkshake Echinacea, 16 blue hill salvia, 2 northern bayberry, 11 day lilies and 1 crepe myrtle installed as planned </p> <p>8 pachysandra, 7 installed in May , 1 installed in September</p> <p>4 Fingerleaf, 3 installed in May  1 died, I installed in September</p> <p>2 butterfly bushes - 1 is not thriving</p> <p>3 Marmalade Echinacea installed- August we requested be replaced as none of them were thriving. Land Art instead removed 3 day lilies from the lily bed and installed replacement Echinacea in the lily bed. Requested Echinacea planted in error be replaced with day lilies of same size and blooms as those removed and received plantings of much less size and quality.</p> <p>At this point we requested Land Art no longer perform any services in our absence and would need to schedule appointments for entry to the property to ensure correct placement of plants as occurred with original installation in May. When the company representative arrived at the appointed day and time he mentioned he was not expecting to be called out and had been drinking. This was a scheduled appointment .</p> <p>While the majority of the 2 phase project went off without a hitch we are very disappointed phase 2 lasted from May through September when we were told all would be complete in one day. So many calls through out the summer to request completion with no result was very frustrating. Only when Land Art called for payment of phase 2 in August were remaining and replacement plants installed between August and September.  Final payment on phase 2 will be just as sporadic.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Anthony responded promptly to calls and texts. He discussed design aspects with us during the Reno to ensure we got exactly what we envisioned. Anthony's craftsmanship was outstanding. (much better than the large professional firm we had do our master bathroom) He and his assistant were polite ND friendly. We are thrilled with the job they did and will be hiring him for more reno jobs in the future as we upgrade features in our home. Thank you, Anthony!"

"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Friendsville, MD

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
