Customers say: True professional

"DR Bob treated my tree for Dutch elm disease, as well as my shrubs for spider mites, and black spot. Definitely cheaper than replacing all my shrubs, which I was preparing to do. Prompt and professional. Fingers crossed, this works!"

"On 4.17.2018 Condren Tree Service removed a very big Cedar Elm tree and pruned a China Berry tree in my backyard. I have been a Condren Tree Service customer for 20 years. When I need tree services I think of Condren Tree a family owned and operated business in Parker, TX for over 20 years. . They do excellant work. The prices are fair. The workers showed up on time on the scheduled work day. They removed the Cedar Elm, grined and removed the stump and roots. They pruned the China Berry. All the branches were chipped. They left the area very clean. The workers are very professional, pleasant and respectful. They truly are tree experts. If you need tree work done please contact Blake Condren - 972 422 5616 for a free estimate. You will be very pleased with the work and the prices."

"I have tried all the top Lawn care companies like Trugreen, Scotts over the past 12 years or so and I've had Weedex for two years or a little over and our lawn have been thriving since. It comes right through after the dormant period like a carpet of grass. People always ask what do we do. Luv, luv, weedex this is a sincere review."

"Our yard was in rough shape, with dead shrubs and lots of bare spots in the yard. Mike answered his phone promptly when I called about an estimate for the work. He was able to take our project on a timely basis and he was in constant communication with us about the timetable for each phase of work. We felt the price was very fair and our landscaping now looks good again. I had a neighbor compliment us on our yard!"

"I need lawn maintenance but every yard is created differently. The first thing a professional yard service should do is a soil test (this is free to them/me) to analyze exactly what is needed. I have tried using Lawn Tech for several years but the lawn looks horrible. Don't misunderstand me, these are really nice people however their service, which is generic in so much that they use the same thing for everyone...just like the other mass-residential services do, does not reap the benefits."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Frisco, TX

The optimal transplanting season depends on your tree species, but most trees respond best when moved during dormancy. For deciduous trees, late fall after leaf drop or early spring before bud break provides the lowest stress periods. Evergreens transplant better in early fall or late summer when soil temperatures remain warm enough for some root growth. Avoiding transplanting during active growth periods helps trees direct energy toward establishing new roots rather than supporting foliage.

While technically, trees of any size can be transplanted with the right equipment and expertise, practical considerations limit what's reasonable for most homeowners. Trees with trunk diameters under 15 inches are most commonly transplanted in residential settings. Success rates decline as trees increase in size and age, with specimens over 24 inches in diameter presenting significant challenges and costs. For large trees, carefully weigh the substantial investment against the potential benefits and survival probability.

Most transplanted trees require one to two years to fully establish in their new location, with larger specimens often needing additional time. During this establishment period, the tree regenerates roots that were inevitably lost during the move. Signs of successful establishment include normal seasonal growth patterns, healthy leaf development, and reduced dependence on supplemental watering. The quality of aftercare during this critical period significantly influences long-term survival rates.

Self-transplanting is feasible for small trees with trunk diameters under two to three inches if you have proper tools and follow correct techniques. However, medium to large trees require professional expertise and specialized equipment to ensure tree survival and property protection. While professional services cost more initially, they achieve much higher success rates and prevent potential damage to your property or the tree itself. The investment in professional services often proves worthwhile when considering the value of mature trees.
