Get matched with top deck or porch repairers in Gainesville, VA

"Fred and his team did a really great job on our screen porch and new ceiling under our deck! We couldn’t be happier with their work!"

"We will definitely hire them again and we will highly recommend them to anyone needing their services. They promptly answered our initial query and gave us a fair quote. We were in the process of moving and desperately needed help fixing our home to get it ready to go on the market. They are good at many different services besides painting, so in addition to painting all of the walls and trim in our townhome (a huge job in itself!), they also repaired our fence, replaced some concrete in our sidewalk that had cracked, re-stained our back deck, and re-painted our outdoor railing. You can tell that Bledar and Vaciel, who are the owners, take a lot of pride in their work - 5-stars!"

"Rick and his Before and After Home Improvement “All-Star Team” provided outstanding professional work in replacing the water damaged posts supporting my deck and the design and work to complete a stamped concrete patio, walkway, and front porch. Our property sits on a hill such that water from our neighbor’s yard drains into our own with some of it settling against our house under the deck. The deck was constructed about 20 years ago with part of the wooden posts buried in the ground. Although the wood was pressure treated, over time, the marshy ground had compromised the integrity of the deck support posts. We had contacted several contractors to request proposed estimates. Some were unresponsive. Others would not fully address our concerns about correcting the water drainage and adding additional concrete to anchor the new deck support posts above ground. Rick was by far, the most responsive. He listened to our concerns and based upon his 45+ years of experience, provided several recommendations for correcting the damaged deck posts and the drainage issues on our property. He gave us a prompt and reasonable estimate. His team went to work right away. We were so pleased with the results that we discussed the idea of the patio and walkway. Again, Rick listened to our ideas and provided excellent recommendations to move us to a beautiful design. Upon contract award, Rick’s team went to work immediately. Rick himself visited the site on a daily basis and communicated with us on the progress. When we suggested some changes, he was very flexible and responsive. All in all, we are very pleased with his work and would highly recommend his company for a top-quality product at a reasonable price! Ken S."

"I couldn't be more pleased with the deck repair that Jose and Melvin of JW Home Improvement performed for us. The attention to detail, beautiful joints, use of screws instead of nails, and the particular attention appearance and completeness. The site was left spotless. A special thanks for your dedication to working in such cold weather. Thanks."

"Had repairs done to my composite deck. Communication and workmanship was excellent. I am very happy with the work and would use them again."

"Steve is a true pro. He replaced old rotten wood and told us the reason the wood was rotting. Replaced with pressure treated wood and added a channel to direct the rainwater to the gutter instead of around it. Highly recommend."

"Excellent work from start to finish! I hired SBT CONTRACTOR to build my new deck and porch, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial design meeting to the very last day of construction, the team demonstrated impeccable professionalism. Their attention to detail, quality of craftsmanship, and adherence to the timeline were outstanding. My new outdoor space looks amazing, and the structure is incredibly solid. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, talented, and customer-focused contractor. Thank you for transforming my home!"

"this was a job to address paint touch-ups and corner posts that had rot at the bottoms on a cedar sided house. efficient, thoughtful, disciplined approach to the proposal. all appointments were kept and punctual. detailed quote provided and all questions answered. was pleased with the time they took for me to understand how and why they quoted the way they did. when the work started, we did a walkthrough and confirmed everything. towards the end, another walkthrough to confirm that they executed the plan to our satisfaction. several small, fair, change orders for some conditions that could not be seen during original quote. on comparison of their proposal quote to others and research on how they wanted to address repairs, it was well supported as the best approach. other's had quoted complete repainting for siding in good condition. they were able to easily color match and focus on repairs to the few areas that needed attention. very happy with the work."

"The primary job was to paint the exterior wood, including wooden windows, on this typical northern Virginal 2 story home with mostly vinyl siding. Excellent prep with power washing, making all 20+ wood windows operable, replacing lots of rotted wood including some custom window repair, one new major picture window, sagging garage door wood repair (precluded a replacement garage door), etc. Excellent results with high quality paint on all exterior including porch and shutters as planned, including wooden rails and slats on a largely TREX deck. This contractor specializes in wood solutions to home repair problems, as well as painting, from my experience. Has good, creative solutions to tough problems. Got a good estimate to start, but escalated a bit as the extent of rotten wood became apparent in the course of the work. I would certainly hire them again."

"Job was completed in a timely fashion and very professionally. Luis always answered my phone calls with any questions and handled it quickly. My deck is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier."
