"I have used this company before and posted a well deserved "A" review of that experience. Had them back this year to remove another large tree and the experience was not quite as stellar. The care given to the surrounding landscape was lacking this time and there was a surprising amount of damage uncovered when I went to inspect closely after they left. I had told the 2 guys who arrived early in the morning where to stack the big chunks of trunk wood, which was behind the tree on a flat spaces of dirt, the same spot they dumped it all last year. Due to problems with the truck, the rest of the crew didn't arrive until 4 hours later. No body's fault on the late start, but I think in their anxiousness to get going, communication from crew 1 didn't get passed onto the climber/chain saw guy. I got my first red flag when I looked out the window and he was halfway done with the big trunk. As he cut the 12-14" sections, he did a big "heave ho" of the chunk forward on the downward side the big hill in front of him (instead of the other way where the ground was flat). I was very surprised to see all these massive trunk rounds fallen and piled on top of our pathway with paver steps. Later I found two massive rounds had rolled for distance all the way down to the bottom of the hill taking out a landscape light, some rocks our retaining wall, and then broke off paver bricks on 4 steps of a full flight of hardscape stairs at the bottom. This is about 75+ feet away from the tree being removed uphill. Unacceptable."

"Everything went great. During the free estimate, it was obvious that David knows his trees very well; his advice was well-reasoned and sound. His crew worked very hard, and are very skilled. Lots of heavy limbs and trunks coming down, with ZERO damage to anything! Their job took a lot longer than expected, due to mechanical problems with their chipper. In the end, they were cutting the limbs into small pieces, to fit them into the truck, which took a lot longer. We are very happy we chose this company. The work was done perfectly, and we think the price is very fair. The clean-up was done so well that I was about to tell the crew to just go home, but they were still fussing with the end of the clean-up, to get it just right."

"I want to start out by saying that this team was beyond great! Starting with Bret who has a passion for trees and really knows his stuff. He knew what all of the trees and even this portugese laurel. He really cares about the trees.
His team was amazing! I was worried that the Hemlock could not be saved. I had been told by another tree service guy that removing it was the best solution. And the guy who took care of it made it look effortless. The team surpassed my expectations and I cannot say how pleased I am with the results. And the price was very reasonable given all the work they did.

"I have an old pear tree that badly needed pruning/trimming.  They cut off all the dead wood, took away the small trash, and made a nice pile of winter fire wood for me from the rest!   They even had extra time and trimmed an overgrown laurel.   |They had to shift the time back 30min, which is why they got a B, HOWEVER its worth saying this was a very rainy day and they still came and performed the work in the rain.   Very impressive! | |If I have to trim or cut down a tree, I'll be sure to use these guys again!"

"I got a deal for 8 hours of clean-up for $250.  I have a big yard and didn't expect them to get everything done, but 8 hours by professionals is probably 15-20 hours by me, so it was a good deal.
In general, they got a lot done and did it fairly well.  I gave them a B on quality though because there were times when a few seemed to be looking for something to do to fill their time, but there was a section of the yard that they didn't touch.  As I said, I didn't expect them to do it all, but it seemed like they were kind of milling around for the last small portion of my purchased time when there was an area full of weeds.  It was just odd, but they didn't damage plants and carried away a ton of fallen pine-needles, pine cones and other debris, so I was happy with the service.
