"Unfortunately, our stove is beyond repair, because its 21 years old. No parts available for our stove. Wayne from Cowboy was very knowledgeable and not pushy. He actually felt bad he couldn't help us. I will remember him when we need some repairs in the future"

"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"This company is simply a RIP OFF, they lure you with $99 diagnostic fee, then they rip you off when it comes to repair. My oven needed an igniter, and I ended up installing it in 15 minutes, but they wanted over $600 to replace it (all but 10 minutes), and they wanted $1600 to replace all three igniters, No ethics or busines integrity what so ever, the manager said they go by their book and refused to speak honestly or use common sense. $600 for an oven that was left open to install the new igniter. Shame on them. Stay away and consider any handy man over this scam and no business integrity. and I thought in dealing with a company out of Butler, they would have small town values and integrity. NOPE."

"Two service calls within warranty time of first service- charged for both calls. $220.00 to align burner caps- !! Continued to insist 2nd call was due to clear orifice as well as align burner caps. Gave me discount $123.05. - REALLY? ABSOLUTELY should have never been charged for 2nd call. Be sure to have tech give you a Job Status card of work done. I was not given one on first service call. Also, warranty information is listed- 90 days- another bit of information not communicated. Job#464927 SG Date of work 12/20/22 I will NOT be using Nebraska Home Appliances Repair- I was totally taken advantage of."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"Service guy came to repair my washing machine which stopped at the spinning cycle. He saw what the problem was and fixed it right away. The cost wasn’t too bad either. Would definitely use again."

"I have had a home warranty plan with ABMay for several years and always get great service. Today Joshua White did my annual plumbing inspection and when I mentioned I'd be getting new toilets soon he let me know of the wonderful credit I had and the next thing I knew...he installed my 2 new toilets in record time today at a great price. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions( tolerated my puppy)as well as gave me information. Once again I'm very satisfied with this company and their technicians."

"Would not recommend this company. Technician was not knowledgeable about how to fix apppliances. He gave theories about why it wasn't working, but did not know how to fix it. Save your money and try a different company."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Gardner, KS

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
