Tropical Pros Construction is committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty, and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers. Accurate knowledge of our trade combined with ability is what makes us true professionals. Above all, we are watchful of our customers' interests, and make their concerns the basis of our business.

"We have used Daniel Bullard previously and when he remodeled our master bathroom he did great work. On Christmas Eve a pipe burst and caused water damage. One room, a closet and flooring in multiple rooms had to be replaced. The flooring is a huge issue with my complaint. Originally we were going to do simple peel and stick vinyl planks like we did in our living room. For whatever reason they could not get them to stick so we have Daniel the authority to choose flooring that fell into the insurance company budget. He chose a click and lock laminate flooring that had a residential lifetime warranty. When installing this floor the planks are supposed to be staggered and trim is supposed to be installed to keep the flooring nice and tight with no wiggle room. We noticed almost immediately that in one area there were a few boards not laying flat. He came out and fixed it and when he did he didn't stagger the boards. The repairs were complete the end of February 2023. By June 2023 we noticed that the flooring was shifting and contacted Daniel (the owner). He said he would work with us on the labor to replace it. We contacted him again and asked him to come and see how bad it really was. He came out in July and said that he made a mistake in installation and he would cover the labor and half of the materials. He stated this in front of myself and my mother. We agreed even though we felt he should pay for it all as he installed it wrong causing it to break and our new floors needed to be replaced less than han 6 months after installation. We saved money to cover our half of materials. He had a family medical crisis so he chose November 13, 2023 for install. We repeatedly texted asking how he would like to do the material, we pay upfront for it all and then he would pay us the half or he pick up and pay and we reimburse. That's when he changed it to he was not covering any material. We reluctantly agreed so we could fix the now falling apart floor. Before 11/13/23 we texted multiple times asking what time to expect him. No answer. Finally that day he said I can have someone there on the 15th to start. He forgot to put us on the schedule. On the 15th he and 2 of his subcontractors arrived late dropped the material off and left said they would be here between 8 and 9 the next morning. They showed at 2:30 to remove the damaged floor. Then they left. Returned Friday and his subcontractors did an amazing job. Daniel however is someone you need to get everything in writing because he went back on his word about paying half, he should have paid for it all because he improperly installed it or we wouldn't have needed to replace it again so fast. We spent over $1200 between materials and having to stay in a hotel for a night because we couldn't access half our house, not including ordering out because our fridge and stove were in our living room. Very, very unhappy. We should not have had to spend this money a second time in less than a year. A good contractor stands behind their work and he didn't. I have photos of the bad install in anyone wants them."

Chateau Concepts, LLC. Good design encompasses function and style. My lifelong philosophy of "everything has a home", a place where it should be when not in use, is an integral part of space planning. Organization of space, as well as classic materials and quality craftsmanship are the key elements of timeless design. My passion is making a house a home. I revel at the challenge of meeting a new person and creating a space in which their personal expression is paramount. Color, texture and design are unique to each of us and collectively, these elements are what makes your house a home. Preview my website: www.ChateauConcepts.com I look forward to working with you! *Hourly rate $185/hr*

"Jan is the quintessential interior design professional. She is upbeat, positive, has a can do-approach to all possibilities, is prompt, responsive and shows a genuine interest in your project. I will say that she was very overqualified for my tiny project and budget but she did all she could within those boundaries. I would highly recommend Jan for any project but I'm sure she could show her true capabilities with med to large projects. Thanks Jan!"

20+ years in residential and commercial construction. I pride myself on my professionalism, as well as my ability to complete every job to the homeowner's total satisfaction. I never leave a job unfinished, or a homeowner not 100% satisfied with my level of service - Call today!

"Phillip Miller is a happy-go-lucky guy who probably has a lot of friends, but he is a poor businessman. He is disorganized, doesn't communicate, is super slow, and charges high prices without doing quality work. His contract had incomplete sentences that didn't make sense. He gave me two contracts but I spilled food on one so I used the other one. I thought they were identical. Then he said I signed the wrong contract. But did he give me a new one? No! He is unprofessional, uncommunicative, doesn't care, and a crook. His estimates were waaaay off. He charged 25% for basically sending subcontractors to my house. I owned several rental properties and know how to find my own subcontractors. I didn't need to pay him 25% for making a few phone calls. He did some of the work himself and he didn't know what he was doing. He charged me $50 for removing an extension cord. I could have done that in two minutes. But $50?! He said he ordered products when he didn't, he said subcontractors would be there and then they wouldn't show. He didn't communicate details to subcontractors so they used the wrong products. Much of the work was sloppy and subpar. He pressured me into accepting an electrician's bid and I later learned I paid double what I should have. He lied to me several times. He took months to finish a project that could have been completed in a couple of months. I asked him for updates on the project but he rarely contacted me. I could write pages about the blunders he made. AND I learned he has had lawsuits filed against him. Too bad I found this out too late. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!"

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Garland, TX

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
