"The service was great. I called Tri County Water after another service technician from another company came to my house and told me my water softener could not be repaired and suggested that I could purchase a new water softener installer for $1,249. When Try County Water arrived, they had the parts on hand and completed the repair work in less than an hour. Chris, who serviced our unit, was extremely professional and friendly. My only regret was that I did not call Try County Water first."

"Walt and his crew did an amazing job mitigating radon from our basement! Radon level went from 4.4 pCi/L to 0.3. Out of 3 bids, he was the only one to come to our house to look at how to route the system. He wasn't in a hurry and explained everything to me in layman's terms. On the day of the install, they arrived promptly and explained what they were going to do. They suggested testing out the sump pump before they sealed up the area and I realized it wasn't working. I purchased a new sump and they even helped me put it in! Wasn't expecting that kind of service. Would highly recommend Advanced Radon Services."

"He arrived on time and is very honest. I had used Josh two other times and he is always upfront about what needs to be done and what doesn't. On one occasion he didn't charge me because he told me nothing needed to be repaired that he could find. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />| <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />|If you are looking for someone you can trust Josh is your guy."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"I researched basement waterproofing solutions and was considering doing it myself. Then I found Safe Basements and read the literature about their product/process. To me, it seemed better than other similar products. I was surprised that they cover my place -- 2 hours into Wisconsin, or 3 hours from Litchfield. Brad came out to inspect the problems in my basement -- horizontal cracking, bowing, and water intrusion. He was able to explain the causes of those problems as well as others that I hadn't noticed. We agreed to pay for anchors to stabilize one wall that was bowing, and install drain tile and a sump pump. I'll be honest, I didn't shop around. I have no idea what other companies are charging for the same services. I normally get 3 or 4 bids or other opinions. I felt comfortable with the amount of research that I'd done, the knowledge Brad seemed to have, and the information about the products that I decided to hire Safe Basements without talking to other companies. I don't regret that decision. The wall anchor/stabilization crew called me before leaving Litchfield. Their ETA was pretty close to the actual time of arrival. When they arrived, we discussed the work being done. They did the work. They cleaned up. They gave me information about the anchor system and what I needed to do to correct the bowing and cracks. Everything was done as expected. The drain tile/sump crew was stuck at a previous job. They called me the day before (Tuesday) my job was expected to start to let me know there would be a delay starting my job. He then called in the middle of the start day (Wednesday) to let me know, they wouldn't be to my house until the next day. I was expecting a call between 7 and 8 on Thursday to let me know they were leaving Litchfield. Instead, I got a call at about 7:15 to let me know they were 15 minutes from my house. When they arrived, we talked about the work to be done, they cocooned my stuff in plastic, and they went to work. I think they worked until about 7 that day. They returned on Friday at about 8:30, having stopped to dump my concrete and dirt and to pick up gravel and concrete. They worked until about 10:30pm on Friday. I appreciated that they finished on Friday even though it was later than I expected. They cleaned up everything thoroughly, and walked me through the details of the sump pump and battery backup systems. Even though they'd driven a long distance, worked two very long days, and it was very late Friday, I didn't feel they rushed through. The job was complete. I think they would have stayed later if I'd had anymore questions. Unfortunately, one of the workers left his very nice tape measure, and I have not been able to get it back to him."

"I recently had work done by Air Quality Services (AQS), and couldn't be more pleased. This is small company owned & operated by three brothers. In the course of the work they did for me -- installing a new furnace & humidifier -- I interacted with <br /> two of them. They were professional, personable, and completely up-front with what I was getting, what I did need, might want, and could do without. They demonstrated unwavering commitment to making sure I was satisfied with the job.  <br />  I chose AQS because their price was less than another highly-rated company. Their service was exceptional:1) they completed the job in the time they had estimated it would take, and left the basement cleaner than it was when they started; 2) after they left, I discovered that a hose to the new humidifier was leaking -- I called immediately and within an hour they had returned and fixed it; 3) that evening I discovered that I wasn't getting hot water out of my kitchen faucet - I called the next day and spoke w/ Jeff - he was a bit perplexed since nothing they had done should have affected the faucet, but he said he would go out and look into it.  It turned out that TWO faucets weren't working properly -- due to sediment in the lines. They cleaned out one, and replaced the other -- <br /> without charging me for their time or labor. I am extremely pleased with my new furnace & humidifier (the heat is more "comfortable" than with my old furnace) and my faucets work better than before they came!  I would highly recommend AQS - for the quality equipment and outstanding customer service. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Gaylord, MN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
