"The service that they did was fine. The inspection was fast and the report was fast, however there was a time gap getting the Post Construction Engineer letter due to a misunderstanding. If you work with this Pro you must be clear up front, but they were very professional. I would recommend them. but know that their services are targeted toward the buyer and the report includes recommendations for buyers. IF you are a seller I highly recommend requesting a sample of the report. Also note: Post Construction Engineer letter is an additional cost."

"Wilson Roofing is my go-to roofer. I have recommended them to all of my friends and they have nothing but great things to say as well. They will work with you every step of the way and ensure that your roofing problems are taken care of in a timely manner. Also, their crews do a great job of cleaning up (something many roofers lack)."

"I called Todd Munsinger of Driftwood Builders Roofing to give me an estimate to reroof my home. I found him to be punctual, detail oriented, straightforward, and a consummate professional. Of six roofers that I called to get estimates, he was the only one that visually walked me through my options and he was the only one that gave me a contracted quote on the spot. As I learned more about roofing alternatives from other estimators, Todd was always available to answer my questions with respect to his original bid. And, one of the things I liked best about working with him was that he gave me honest answers, even when he knew those answers would go on the “con” side of my ledger. No wishy-washy, just straight answers that helped me make the right decision for me. And his base prices were very competitive with other firms. In the end, because of some peculiarities with our particular home, we made the tough call to go with a different firm, but I would recommend my pre-commitment experience with Driftwood Builders Roofing to all. It is the way business should be done."

"My water heater sprung a leak while I was away. Arnold and his team was able to dry us out quickly and protect my home. They gave good advice about getting the right help for the cause of the flood. They did First rate work and did their very best to keep the cost down. This is the only company you should call to protect your home against water damage. I have worked in this business. I was Certified. I know what i am talking about when I say, I Have never seen a better, more honest, more caring crew in this business. I would trust this company with any Cleaning, Flood, Mold remediation."

"BPG Inspections Failed to Honor Their Guarantee or Take Accountability Summary: In my experience, BPG Inspections failed to uphold their guarantee, and I encountered poor follow-up and vague, shifting justifications for denying my claim. Details: I hired BPG Inspections in Pensacola, FL, to inspect a home I purchased in April. The inspection occurred in March, and I moved in during May. Within a few days of moving in – well within the 90-day warranty period – I discovered two issues that the inspection report had explicitly marked as functional: 1. The garbage disposal unit did not work (it made a soft noise but did not function). 2. The HVAC system failed to deliver air to the kitchen and adjacent bedroom, though the inspection report had indicated the air handling was operational and in good condition. I promptly emailed BPG about these problems, and while the inspector initially responded, I was then passed to their claims department. After repeated follow-ups, I finally received a call on June 23rd – nearly a month after reporting the issue – only to be told that neither issue was covered under their warranty. I raised the following concerns: 1. For the HVAC, the inspector had confirmed it was functional in an email, contradicting the claims department's later justification that it could not be tested. If no air reaches two rooms, it should have been evident during either heating or cooling tests – this was missed. 2. For the garbage disposal, I was told it was a "kitchen appliance" and therefore not covered, despite it being a fixture included in inspections. When I asked where the warranty excluded it, I received inconsistent explanations. At no point did the company offer to re-inspect or further investigate these issues. I expected more accountability from a professional inspection service – especially one offering a guarantee."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Georgetown, TX

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
