"Home Systems Appliance Repair did an excellent repair on my 18 year old panel-ready 42 inch Built-In counter depth GE Profile Refrigerator. The original GE tech who looked at the leak in the freezer evaporator a year ago, told me the refrigerator was non repairable because the "vacuum pump" retrofit part it needed was no longer available. After paying his $200 visit fee for a 2 minute consultation, he offered me a discount on a new GE refrigerator to fit which had not been built yet. Fast forward to now, GE does have 42 inch built-in counter depth Monogram side-by-side for $12,000 and $2,000 of Kraftmaid panels. Home Systems Appliance Repair cost me $400 to identify and fix a broken heat transfer tab in the freezer evaporator unit. I saved $15,000 - - not bad for paying Appliance Repair for a 2 hour job. "We had a problem with a drain from a window well that would result in continuous flooding in our basement. We were finally able to fix the problem with the drain and hopefully prevent further flooding. So we contacted two businesses about mold remediation and removal of the damaged drywall and paneling. The first company, provided a good estimate but they were not as professional or reliable as we wanted. After searching online we were able to located American Home Services and then used Angie's List and saw they had great reviews. I immediately called them about receiving a free estimate and they offered to be out at my house the next day to give us an estimate. The President of the company was the person who came out to give us our estimate. He was able to explain everything that would need to be done a reasonable time frame (2 days). I received the completed estimate within 24 hours and scheduled the appointment shortly there after. American Home Services responded on time and placed plastic down in the hallway that leads to our basement to prevent any damage to our floors. My wife and I then waited as they worked for the day and after they completed the days work, they then showed us the basement and what they completed. Overnight they left a dehumidifier and other equipment to complete the work. The next day they came back and hand cleaned any spots that weren't completely cleaned within the first day's work. After they were done, I was then shown the basement and the work that was done. I then received a receipt for the services and a print out of all the work/chemicals that were used in the basement during the repair. American Home Services then provided us with a warranty to come back and fix any problems within the first year. Overall American Home Services is a great business that is willing to work with their clients and make sure that their needs and concerns are met.

"I have good things to say about them, but I pay monthly. I am not necessarily sure I am getting my money's worth. Its a maintenance thing. One problem I have with them is because I couldn't get gas heat. The last time I had to call, they kept telling me gas was an appliance. Furnace is an appliance. It really doesn't make sense to me. I couldn't get them here, and I had to wait to go to BGE Home, and they didn't come for three days. The unfortunate part was it was the last chilly damp weekend. I don't use them but once a year. I don't have to pay the yearly thing, and I didn't have to pay extra. It was part of my monthly thing. The quality is great. They did give me a new thermostat. It was hard to understand why my furnace had to wait, even though I couldn't get any power. Since it was gas, it was an appliance. Made no sense. If they could have come when I had an problem. I had to wait three days with no heat."
