"Excellent service. Professional - the person that gave the quote explained everything very clearly. The Installer (garage door opener and replacement of some parts on the actual door) was excellent and thorough. Tech cleaned up the wiring that was there and added some reinforcements. The previous door had not been installed very well. (Handyman special maybe?) There was an issue with the new opener kicking the breaker so I had to get an electrician our before I could use it. I went from 1/2 horse to 3/4 horse, which the electrician said I didn't I need due to size of door- 1 car small garage. I had no idea what I really "needed". I would recommend company though I think they are a bit pricey (But generally you get what you pay for.) and I maybe should have researched horse power needs before committing."

"Garage door wouldn't open when I touched the button and couldn't figure out why.  After doing a visual inspection I figured out that the spring had broke in two.  I immediately went to angieslist to look for a garage door company and found Local Garage Door.  They had a coupon for preventative maintenance that included a spring replacement for $179.00 and I immediately called them.   To my surprise the could come out the same day between 1pm and 3pm, the technician was here at 1pm.  It took the tech about an hour and he was done, the grage door never sounded so good.  It used to be noisy and have metal against metal noises, now you can just hear the garage door motor running.  The tech was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about what needed to be performed.  
In regards to price, yes the coupon was for $179 and I did pay $300 but that was because I needed to change out both springs and one spring cost $125 and the coupon is only good for one spring.

"it went very well. from the minute jerry and his helper arrived and started to carefully protect and remove furniture from construction dust to the time they moved it all back, they acted in a professional manner. jerry had to replace a lot of drywall. it was done seamlessly. the same with my front door. it was painted and repaired so that it looks brand new. "I contacted Jerry originally to replace a broken window in my vacation home but did not use him since I ended up replacing all the windows in the house. I then removed paneling from a wall inside the house and needed it to be drywalled and painted. Jerry made useful suggestions and also insulated the wall and matched the textured paint that he put on the wall to the other walls in the room. He did a great job. "Our sliding glass door was fixed in a timely fashion, although it still doesn't slide as easy as I would have liked. We were told that is because it's just an older door, which makes sense. We actually had to put some silicon spray on it after the work was completed in order to get it to slide better. The price we paid was the cheapest after getting estimates from 4 companies. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the work done, but would have liked it to slide easier than it does."
