"It went great and I left Harmond and Neli a great review on the chat survey that I wish I had copied to past here as I wrote everything I felt about the Tech and the company and it was all good. I will be using the Neli services again when any of my appliances need attention / repair. Thank You Neli."

"I have Rescue Link's Single PC Pack which is an extended warranty for my laptop and also has unlimited tech support.  I use the tech support every month to run a PC tune up and it doesn't cost me any sort of fee or deductible beyond what my monthly charge is.  My laptop is three years old and I purchased this warranty earlier this year.  I recently spilled a soda on my laptop and called to file a claim.  This warranty covers accidental damage for laptops and tablets so I was able to call to file a claim.  They answered the phone and asked a few questions like: what is the serial number of the laptop, what operating system do you use and about how much did you pay for the laptop.  After answering these questions, they told me that my claim was approved and that I would receive a postage paid box within two business days.  I received the box with the materials required to safely ship my laptop.  It was actually kind of funny because they even provided a premeasured length of tape to close the box.  I filled out the paper asking for my password (so that they can get into the computer to make sure that the repairs were completed) and took the box to the UPS drop off site.  Two days later I got a call stating that they received the box and would start repairs.  Three days after that, they called me and told me that they had everything except the keyboard fixed and were just waiting on the new keyboard.  Two days later, I was told that they had the keyboard and would be shipping me my repaired computer and I should receive it in two to three business days.  All said, it only took seven days from the time that they received my computer for me to get it back.  They even cleaned it.  I am very happy with this service. <br />"

"Requested an estimate thru their website. Response was quick and appointment set. Day of appointment Jordan phoned 5 minutes past scheduled arrival time saying he was just leaving his last appointment asking if he could still come... 35 minutes or so late. I couldn't accommodate because of previous commitment. I told him I just needed the price to get the gutters installed so he could still come but I wouldn't be there. He decided not to. Said he would be in my area next day and would stop. He didn't. 4 or so days went by and I sent them an email thru their website asking when they might come. Good response as they called next day. They wanted me to be present when Jordan came. I explained I knew their product well and just needed the price for their gutter system on my garage. I'd kept my end and was there for the original appt. but they didn't. I'm a busy guy. I'm not doing it again. Just stop and leave me the estimate and I'll take it from there. They wouldn't do it. The gal on the phone said she'd have to have Jordan call me and hung up. Not a good exchange. Jordan called shortly after and promised to be out that afternoon and would leave me an estimate. This time he did what he said he would. I decided to go ahead with the work and emailed confirmation to Jordan. He quoted 3-4 weeks for the install. I mailed a check for 1/3 of the cost along with the signed acceptance of the estimate. I heard nothing but could see my check had cleared so I emailed Jordan at about 2 weeks to see if things were on track. He responded right away that they were. A few days later Lindus called with an installation date which was right at the 4 week mark. I couldn't be home for the installation but was assured that would be fine. I could send a check. They dropped materials the day before and sent me a text that they had done that. Next day late afternoon I received a text the work was completed. I came home to a bill in the door and gutters on the front looked great. I walked around to the back and oh,oh... problem! The gutter are brown but two of the elbows used were white. Also, the downspout was not hinged per the agreement. Because of the text telling me the work was complete and the bill in the door, I called Jordan and left a message. He quickly returned my call and said he had no idea what happened but would call me back when he could get answers. I was on my way to a Twins game so I told him calling the next morning would be fine. At 9 am (I was in the shower) my doorbell was ringing. By the time I got out and dried and dressed, Lindus had made the corrections and all appeared okay. The gentlemen doing the work (very friendly and pleasant) told me they had planned to come back that morning with the correct pieces. I suggested a note, phone call or some type of communication would have been a good thing so I knew what was going on. I gave him a check for payment in full and he left. About a week later when I was cutting the grass, I raised one of the hinged downspouts and tried to connect it to the plastic bracket that was there to hold it in place. Unfortunately this was not correctly installed. I reached out to Lindus again via their website and they had someone out to correct. Good service on their part and I appreciated the quick response. A note was left in the door telling me the repair was made. Stuff happens but it should have been done right in the first place. I think these guys are a good company with a good reputation and highly rated on Angie's List, but based on the appointment difficulties, the incorrect colored pieces originally installed (no communication) and bracket problem, I can't give them a higher rating."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Glenwood City, WI

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
